Functional Rhinoplasty Consultation

WORTH IT$14,900
I have been wanting a nose job since I was 12 years old (I'm currently 26 turning 27 this year) and decided to finally take the plunge and do it! Not only for aesthetics, but for functional reasons as well. I have a deviated septum with a dorsal hump which causes me to only be able to breath out of my right nostril while my left nostril is completely blocked.
I had two previous virtual consultations with doctors in Beverly Hills. However I should have done my research sooner, as I ended up wanting to go with a doctor who is part of the Rhinoplasty society, and that's where I found Dr. Sam Most!
Dr. Most stood out to me because when he posts clients post-op results on his Instagram profile he will post all angles of the face, including the side, 3/4 view, frontal, other side, while other doctors just post side comparisons (but how did the front come out on those patients?!). His clients also looked very natural in their post-op photos. Not only that but I liked how genuine his feed was while other doctors have marketing companies running their feed. I also really like that Dr. Most is always partaking in webinars and is always trying to educate himself on rhinoplasty so that he can offer his clients the best. I myself have learned some things from watching those webinars haha!
I went ahead and scheduled an in-person consultation back in mid June for 7/20. It was the longest wait ever! But it was so worth it to finally meet Dr. Most. We went over my aesthetic and functional concerns and created my simulation. He was honest with me on what he could realistically do, such as the possibility of not having my nose 100% straight, but that he can make it straighter than what it is now. But please note that no doctor can guarantee to get your nose 100% straight no matter how famous or good they are, and if they do state that they can, they are not telling you the truth, as that is one of the hardest things to achieve in rhinoplasty.
I am going to post my simulations but I think I want to go over them again during my pre-op on 9/3/20 just to see how it would look if we raised my radix, and I also want to refine my tip more so my nostrils don't show as much. I might also want to get a chin augmentation as well, haha! Will post details when my pre-op comes! :) My surgery date is scheduled for 9/16/20.

Before/After Simulations - Just Rhinoplasty

These are my sims for just a rhinoplasty! You can see from the profile that we are removing the hump on the dorsal and are making it smaller. On the frontal view, you can see that we are wanting to make it straighter. Dr. Most always reminds me that although he can't guarantee it will be 100% straight, it will be straighter than before. My face isn't fully symmetrical anyways, and I have come to terms that no doctor can 100% guarantee a straighter nose, as it is the hardest thing to do in rhinoplasty and is simply the way it is depending on each person.
I am interested in potentially raising my radix (the area where the nose meets the forehead, mine is a little deep) and also possibly going for a chin implant for more of a facial balance since I do have a weak chin. The tip of my nose looks a little weird on my profile simulation, and I think it's because my nostrils weren't altered too much, however, Dr. Most said my nostrils won't show as much as they do in the simulation because when he physically makes my nose smaller during surgery, my nostrils will tuck in more. :)
My pre-op appointment is 9/3 and my surgery date is 9/16! Dr. Most said he wants me to be fully sure of everything I want by my pre-op on 9/3, so I will have to decide if I want to go with a raised radix and chin implant as well, or keep the simulations as they are.
I will also post my profile and frontal simulations of the chin implant as well. So first two photos of the simulations are of just rhinoplasty, last two photos are the simulations are with the chin implant and rhinoplasty + raised radix. Dr. Most stated that I don't have a symmetric chin, so if I get a chin implant, it could show the asymmetry more. Any thoughts or comments after looking at the photos would be appreciated. :)

Ommmggg the rhinoplasty sim looks great! So natural. It's funny - I had another doctor recommend I get a chin implant, but I haven't discussed that with Dr Most because I'm not really convinced. But I can see the difference between the sims for you! It's subtle, but there!

Thanks! I like the natural look as well. Maybe I'll ask about elevating a bit like you did as well! I honestly think your chin is pronounced enough, a chin implant would look nice but it's already pretty balanced. Mine however is not strong at all or even close to being in line with my forehead so I def want it, haha!! But I am still debating! I love how we both have our surgery so close to each other. My rhinoplasty buddy! XD

Yeah I hear ya on that one and if you're already going under, def something to consider doing! How much more is that cost wise? And saaaame - it's SO nice having you to chat (virtually) with! What products are you purchasing for post-op care? I have arnica (they said this is fine to take, but really the only supplement they approved from my list), gel bead eye masks for the freezer, chapsticks, and I was considering a wedge pillow - but don't think it's necessary. I had purchased saline spray (based on online research), but was told by the RN that it is not advised so I'll return that.

I def want to get a neck pillow or something similar to keep my head up and positioned straight up because I am def a side sleeper! I really need to do more research so I can bring in a list too. My pre-op is two days after your op day! How exciting! I cant believe it's next week for you!!

I forgot to add that it would be an additional 3.4k for the chin implant!
August 26, 2020
Yeah I can't believe it's coming up so soon! And oh that's a reasonable cost! What are you leaning towards?

Pre-Op

I had my pre-op on 9/3 and they were able to let me know what to expect from surgery and provided me with papers with all the information as well! I decided to go with adding a chin implant which raised the price from $14,900 to $18,300 total. My surgery date is 9/16! So excited for my new face!
