Full Facelift for this 55 year old youngster!!

It's time for my face to match how I feel! Like so many of you, I spent a long time trolling RealSelf's website, reading your reviews, good and bad. I read books on Medical Tourism, primarily Cosmetic Surgery. I have researched and consulted with various Doctors (or their Liason) from around the world, and I kept coming back to Dr. Lev. His before and after pictures, and his reviews speak for themselves. I have no less than thirty (30) back and forth emails with Didi, his Patient Coordinator and I am very comfortable with my decision. She has answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly. I am very excited! I am scheduled for Face, Neck and Brow lift, with Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty and maybe skin grafts (similar to fat grafts) in the nasolabial folds. The Works!! I am going to post before pictures with and without make-up. That way you can get a fair assessment of the final results if I have make-up on. I will be staying at Verdeza for two weeks. I'm counting down the days!!! Thank you to all the patients who took the time to post their journeys on RealSelf!! Your postings were invaluable. xo

Wow wow wow!! outstanding results! Is Dr.Lev in Costa Rica? I believe I have seen lots of his reviews here and all great. I am 49, dating a much younger man and I know for sure in the next few years I will be doing the same as you. I look pretty good, mainly from Sculptra and radiaesse, but nothing like your results! I can understand your decision to look as young as you feel! Good for you, you look stunning! be blessed!

Hi, I haven't on here in a long time, . sorry and thank you. Yes, Dr. Lev is in Costa Rica. He does have a lot reviews. He is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

I am trying to navigate how to post my "before" pictures with make-up on, as I stated I would in my original post. I think it would help with a fair comparison with the after pictures, and also because I hate the non make-up "before" pictures!! lol! I hope I am doing this right!

Ten days to go! I decided to have the pre-op blood tests and EKG done here. I didn't want to take any chances. I had my family doctor write a scipt for the antibiotics and had it filled. My family doctor is supportive, thank goodness! My concern was that I've read on different sites and on patient's journeys that you should have a PS here to go to when you get back in case you experience any problems. Say, you find a stitch or whatever. The only plastic surgeon that I know specializes in skin cancer (it runs in my family). I was hesitant to ask him, as I couldn't imagine any plastic surgeon that would be willing to get near someone else's work, unless it was a revision. As fate would have it, I needed to go to him last week. While I was there I told him about my plans to go Costa Rica for cosmetic surgery. I thought I would get a lecture, but instead he remarked that he goes to CR all the time to fish, and that he knows there are some great doctors there. He was happy for me! Then I said that it has been recommended that I should have a PS here to....and before I could finish he said, "to take care of you if you have problems? Done!" Yay! That takes a load off my mind! Phew! I am so glad I asked! I am nervous, I am excited, I am ready!! Counting down the days......

So you are on your way to CR very soon ... how exciting! I will be there June 5th at Verdeza. Are you nervous yet? Your face will be great looking, you have a nice frame to work with, I can see it already. Good Luck

You had an amazing result; he did fantastic! How exciting:) I’ve just viewed all photos & only this far into reading your review but had to stop to comment as results were so good but also wondering how your local plastic surgeon wasn’t upset you weren’t using him!? How gracious he was to offer assistance & not be offended you weren’t actually using him.
I’m going to keep reading now:)
How did you decide what surgeries you needed? Did you Skype or FaceTime with the doctor? I'm very curious about this whole idea of going to Costa Rica and coming home looking fresh and great.
