Full Facelift for this 55 year old youngster!!

6 months since my surgery

It's been 6 months since I had my surgery. I no longer have any numbness, just am still sensitive under my chin and the top of my head. I am seeing a Ocular Plastic Surgeon for botox and he remarked how nice my incision scars were at my hairline. My hair is growing through the scar, it is very difficult to detect. Dr. Alejandro did such a good job, I don't have to wear bangs to cover the suture scar. The scars in front of my ears are so faint, you would have to know they were there to tell. Of course there are things I would like to tweak, but I must say I am very happy with his work.

This picture was taken last Friday, 3 weeks and two days after my surgery. I continue to get better. I did have a slight setback a couple of days ago where I inadvertently pulled on my cheek while wiping my mouth. I got a sharp pain and the next day that side of my face was swollen and I have a slight bruise in that area. I was scared to death I had damaged something, but was assured I would be fine. It is a process!!

You look amazing. Dr. Lev is such a stupendous doctor and his results are great - very natural looking. NO deer in headlights look. You will continue to look better and better as time goes on. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Hi Sunnyview! Thank you for the kind words. I am pretty happy with the results, but there are a couple of things that I need to wait till healing is complete to see if they need addressing. ( I have lumps near the corners of my mouth from the skin grafts in my nasolabial lines that look odd when I smile. I am hoping they will soften. And my 11's seem are becoming more pronounced, even though I had the corrugator muscles excised. ) These are things that can be taken care of if they don't resolve themselves. The weird thing is that my face still swells at will. I am having a very swollen day today. Of course, we are very critical of ourselves! I think he does great work and you will be happy. Are you having it done at the clinic? What procedures are you having?

DebLynn61, It seems so many having swelling issues.
Yes I am going to have the surgery done at the clinic and will be prepared for how it looks with your review. The clinic is not as important as the Dr and from what you and so many other have said, he and his Dr friend are great. I am scheduled to have the usual facelift, neck lift, Upper and lower eyes done. Like you, I did have my uppers done about 10 years ago. I told that to Didi and she said it is up to Dr Lev to see if there is enough skin to do another one. You said you had one too in the past and Dr Lev did not do your uppers. I am thinking that may be my situation. However if he recommends a brow lift then I am worried. I have very thin blonde hair and will be afraid that the scar will show. You have nice thick darker hair and I couldn't tell at all you had anything done in that area!
Does that incision show through your hairline?
What are your thoughts on having that done?
My main concern is the falling jowls that runs in my polish/slavic family. Ugly and old looking!
I am scheduled on June 7th. My husband is joining me one week later and is actually having his eyes done.

Wow! You look younger and more beautiful. Dr. Lev is amazing! I'm on my way ,arriving today. My surgery is Tuesday..

Wow wow wow!!!! Looking lovely and 10 years younger!! Great natural looking facelift. Thx for sharing your journey. I had a fl too and I'm soooooo pleased. I am always receiving compliments on how much younger I look. Enjoy your new self!!!

Here is a picture of my face where it was…
Here is a picture of my face where it was peeling and today. You can see the peeling is almost gone. Also the scabbing behind my ear. I understand the peeling is due to less than optimal blood flow there. It all gets better everyday.
