My FUE Procedure
I first noticed my thinning hair in my early twenties, and attempted as best as I could to accept the situation. After over a decade of my hair getting worse and worse, I finally decided to go and see someone about what my options were. Finding a doctor was a nerve wracking experience, but after doing my research, the Anderson Center for Hair seemed like the best facility to address the possible options to my hair loss. I initially met with Dr. Anderson and soon after met with Dr. Wetzel who was the one who performed my FUE hair transplant. Every interaction that I have had with this center backs up the vast amount of positive reviews that they have online. Dr. Wetzel made sure that I understood what my options were for treating my hair loss and he didn't try and push anything on me or promise me results that were not realistic.
As for the procedure itself, it wasn't painful at all. I was given medicine that relaxed me and numbed the pain so that I was comfortable. I ended up sleeping through most of the procedure so it was a very easy experience getting the transplant done. After the transplant there was no pain, but there was some very mild itchiness and discomfort. During the recovery period, I followed the given post-operative instructions and everything proceeded as I was told that it would. During the days I was almost able to forget that I had anything done to me at all. The nights were a bit worse as sleeping was more difficult than normal for the first few nights but it was absolutely manageable even for me with my insomnia.
The doctor's office contacted me the day after and then a week after my procedure to check on me to make sure that I wasn't having any problems. It's only been about a six weeks since my transplant so I haven't started to see the results yet, but I have the utmost confidence that the results will be positive based on the care and professionalism demonstrated by Dr. Wetzel and his team. Overall, I am completely satisfied with how the process has been up until this point and would recommend the Anderson Center for Hair to anyone looking to restore their hair.
