WORTH IT
1 year and 10 months since the initial grafts, and hair is still coming in (albeit much more slowly now). My understanding is that it takes about 1.5-2 years before maximal coverage is achieved... some on here more knowledgeable than me may be able to put more details around that. I plan to have booster PRP treatments soon, and another transplant next year. I’ve also been taking hair growth vitamins and biotin daily, which definitely helps.

Nine months post-op

The pictures in this update were taken nine months after the transplant. I had a small transplant, with less than 700 grafts, CRP+Acell, and additional stem cell injections to preserve hair in the donor area.
Donor area thickness is now approximately 140% of original – meaning that, in the donor area treated with stem cells and CRP+Acell, all the donor hair grew back +40% more. The crown and frontal areas, where the transplants were situated, is now much thicker and the scalp is no longer visible in that area. After consulting with Dr. Cole, I deliberately left the balding spot in the back alone on the first round of FUE due to limited budget & limited availability of donor hair. Doctor Cole injected CRP+Acell around the edges of the balding area on back/top of the skull at my request. Although we didn’t place any grafts in the balding spot, that area now measures roughly 1.25 cm smaller in width and 1 cm smaller in length than pre-surgery.
My objective for the first round of FUE was to obtain a fuller frontal hairline and not have the scalp visible from the front when back-lit, creating a mature look that’s fuller in appearance but not out of place for a man my age. This look is a vast improvement over the pre-surgery Norwood 5A-6 with a small persistent frontal forelock. Actually grew in way more hairs than just the 670 that were transplanted initially, the donor area is thicker, and many vellus hairs are still coming in. I’m very happy with the results to-date.
If results continue as they have been, next I’ll have the frontal hairline lowered and temple points rebuilt. Then I’ll have the balding spot in back filled. Maybe 1-2 more FUE rounds. I’m going slowly because I don’t have that much donor hair. Doctor Cole is the only person I’ve found who has a working method of regrowing donor hairs. My hope is that I can have plenty of donor hair by moving slowly with the transplants and using stem cells to regenerate donor hair in-between transplants.
I’ve consistently been taking biotin, ManeControl brand hair vitamins, a D supplement, Centrum daily vitamins, and using the Capillus 272 laser cap.

It looks great now, well done.
What hair growth vitamins are you using?
Could you give me the name of them please.
