Hi so I am a 40 year Aussie with a receding hairline! I have looked at getting a hair transplant for a few years and have now decided to take the plunge!
I chose Dr Cinik after reading so many positive reviews! Wish me luck! I have 6 weeks off work so hopefully I’ll be nice and healed by then!
I am Nervous, but excited and I am sure that’s normal .. not mention a marathon flight to arrive!

Good luck! My hairline is similar to yours and hope to see you progress photos. I think I'm going to schedule my HT with Dr Cinik as well in January.

You really only need ~2wks to be healed and reasonably comfortable, but six weeks is great and it's around what I had at the time, so you get to enjoy the hair, then it's fallen or falling out by the time you are back!

Guys, since you're relatively new, you'll find some highly detailed, very honest / as-it-happens commentary from people as they have gone through the experience of the FUE and the effects, recovery and then the wait, then the hair farming.

Have a good look at reviews. Find some with people with similar levels of hair loss, similar age, similar genetics / looks and similar culture.

There are tons of good reviews. This will help you with both seeing the pics and learning what happens, but it's also quite entertaining, since it becomes an obsession for a while.

PS. Another fun pastime is the stories of high profile people and HTs. Just sayin...

If you can get a quick boat tour through the Bosferus river, that was pretty cool. I was there a total of 1 week so I pretty much saw all the regular tourist spots but I really enjoyed seeing the city through the Bosferus river. However, I wad there during the summer so weather was really nice.

I finally arrived in Istanbul this afternoon!
Have to say everything including the transfer has gone well... so fingers crossed the rest goes well! Big day tomorrow! Haven’t seen any of Istanbul yet but it’s certainly busy.. a lot busier than Australia!
The double tree Hilton is a very nice hotel!

Which IST Doubletree? Moda? Old Town? Looks good in the reviews for either.

Have a look at my review as I've posted a lot of tips while they were fresh in my mind.
Beware you'll likely have a bit of jetlag and may get tired very quickly.
I went out on a run at 4AM since I was wide awake.
Lots of wild dogs.
Car drivers are recklessly fast and furious - you may well see evidence of an accident, as me and my HT buddies did on our next day visit to Dr Maral.

Main tip for newbies is the ATMs can give EUR if your clinic's Dr prefers Euro.
