How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Two Years Later, Still a Great Experience
I waited almost 2 years to write this review, to make sure I was entirely happy with the results, and I can now say that I had a great experience.
After Dr. Sean was recommended to me by my dermatologist, I did a fair amount of research – reading his other reviews, learning what questions to ask, etc. I'm not an expert, but I have learned a fair amount about hair transplants, and I believe that Dr. Sean did a great job with each step in the process.
Before I write up the details of the procedure, I should start by saying that Dr. Sean was a great person to work with. He is kind and thoughtful and smart and good at his job. He is very reassuring and I was always happy to see him or talk to him on the phone. (He gives out his home phone number so you can reach out to him anytime.)
Here are specific details about my hair transplant (FUE) procedure:
I was given instructions for things to do before the procedure, which I followed pretty carefully. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Sean and his team took care of the rest.
We started pretty early in the morning. They gave me a couple pills (something like Valium and Xanax) which kept me relaxed for the procedure. They kept the treated areas numb (with Novacaine or similar) during the procedure – starting on the back of my head where they removed hair follicles, and then a couple late hours later on the front of my head, where they implanted the follicles. At one point during the implanting, I was feeling a little tender even with the Novocaine, so they gave me some nitrous oxide (laughing gas).
They kept me stuffed with carbohydrates throughout the day. (Your body burns a lot of carbs during a procedure like this.) They had Netflix and a couple other movie channels available for me to watch during the follicle implanting.
The net effect was that for the entire morning and part of the afternoon, I was in a pleasantly dopey state, eating a bunch of tasty food, and watching a couple movies.
I was given detailed post-op instructions as well, which I followed pretty carefully -- when to rinse certain areas, apply medicine, etc.
Both before and after the procedure, Dr. Sean has been incredibly available. He gives out his home phone number, and would respond to questions I texted him, even during the evening/night or on weekends.
I feel very comfortable recommending Dr. Sean and his work.
