Invisilign - Small Correction Needed - Don't Want Brackets!! - Fresno, CA

I just started my invisalign . The week before I was to pick up my trays, I ran into a friend I hadn't seen for awhile and while her teeth were beautiful - i couldn't help notice the spots on her teeth . I gently asked if she use to have braces (because I thought it was some kind of discoloration from that ) but to my shock - they were her invisilign attchments. My dentist didn't tell me I'd have these attachments cemented on my teeth. The brochure didn't reveal any such "bumbs" appearing on teeth. The reason I decided to correct my small overlap was because I thought It would be invisible as it progressed. So...I had a fit and because all the imaging etc. had already been done - just to get out of the financial obligation thus far was $1,100 (to cover lab fees -she said). However, I was in the time frame where the trays could be rejected as they were - so the dentist sent them back and asked to have them made without the bumps for attachments. He assured me there would still be movement (but I am skeptical). I went ahead with that plan , hopeful that it will work. I take them out when I drink my morning coffee (about 30 min.) and try to eat with them most of the time. After meals , I pop them out and rinse or brush. I don't know if I am doing something wrong because I read of all the people mentioning "smell". I don't have that experience (hmm maybe i'm popping them out too much for cleaning). It has only been about a week - so I'm not sure yet. BIG MISTAKE - in an effort to keep them in as much as possible I left them in when I had my curry soup!! OMG they now have what seems like a permanent yellow tent. I tried soaking in efferdent, using my regular teeth bleaching agent and the weaker bleach stuff they gave me for the trays. Nothing worked, then I had this idea to use a diluted solution of clorox bleach and vinegar. Someone on line recommended to do so and rinse well before putting them back in. Soooo , I did all that and things seemed great. However, after I had them in for awhile , I popped them out to give them a brush and they were now a milky color. Crap!! I imagine that the solution changed something in the continuity of the plastic. I have another two weeks of these trays , so sadly I am stuck with milky teeth. NOt too bad but I have nice white teeth under there , soo I am a bit distressed, if I think about it or look in the mirror too long. If anyone has had a similar experience , I'd love to hear about it.
I only write all this because this site encouraged me to share my thoughts and experiences along the way , as it may help someone else and also Realself forums are very helpful and encouraging for everyone. I would appreciate any input. Also, I will say ---never try to clean the way I did. Oh, and NEVER eat any kind of curry dish with those trays in!!!
