How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

All is Well

I haven't posted for a very long time and I realise that many people take to sites like this to post scares and issues but maybe don't update with positive outcomes when they should. I just found a lot of questions in my inbox. My skin healed beautifully in the end. I was left with a small red mark and some hyper pigmentation which was later removed by my doctor with another fraxel. I learnt that I am a slow healer and need to stay home indoors at the longer end of the guidelines given. I also learnt that you one really does need to avoid the sun at all costs so the depths of winter are the only appropriate time. I would high recommend this procedure IF you go to someone fully qualified that performs them all the time and you have enough time in your schedule to stay at home for 5 days and stay out of the sun for up to three months. Anyone who has experienced long term issues has my deepest sympathy. Please pick your practitioner carefully. I continue to have annual fraxels with the same doctor and I look almost ten years younger then my age. This was not the case when I first went to see him.

Skin has improved dramatically

I have some outbreak which was caused by me going against the wishes of my derm and applying some fake tan - my first spots in 6 months. The texture has improved immeasurably. make up is no longer sitting on top. The pores have reduced in size. The mircoderms and cutting sunblock as well as washing my face in the sea have performed wonders. My skin is feeling thicker again. I still have some hyper pigmentation and textural damage from the skin coming off too early

Some improvement possibly

I've had in this last few days a microdermabrasion and also stopped using sunblock as well starting to exfoliate. The broken caps are more evident now. I do feel the pores on my forehead are a bit smaller but the texture around my nose and eyes is still very strange. Huge pores and this dull and paper thin skin. I have to be patient and see if my skin comes back to life in the next four weeks. But some of my pores definetly look smaller. I do have these lines I hadn't before though and my skin is super dehydrated. I look older. I want my glow back. My skin is overall looking better then last week. Let's see what happens.

Provider Review

not saying

at this point I am withholding a personal review as it's not fair. How they behave toward me in the next few months and help me get through this will determine a lot. I am very frightened and I am hoping they will bring this to a positive conclusion or if not help me deal with the consequences of anything that may have gone wrong. I am of course hoping to be able to reveal their name and tell you that all ended well.
