23 year old- Acne Scars

The procedure itself was by far the worse pain I have ever encountered. I balled my eyes out the entire procedure. They put numbing cream on me an hour prior to the laser and the only place a really felt numb was my nose and mouth. I was literally clenching my teeth and squeezing the (oversized) stress balls so hard my hands were cramping. I couldn't hold still and I had tears pouring down my face. I was so upset afterwards, I cried the whole way home, dreading the fact that I have to do this 2 more times within a month part (non-refundable). So far from the first treatment alone right after, I don't see any improvement in my skin but I guess its only the first day. My face burned like hell afterwards but after 2 hours I don't feel any pain at all anymore. Really scared to back though, not sure I can go through that again but i'd be out 500$ if I didn't.
