So most of the soreness has gone away. I was having a lot of trouble with being dizzy but has gotten better when the doctor prescribed me something. My other issue is always being hungry, can anyone help with that? I don't want to fail, I really want this. I have lost 10 lbs already tho. :)

Hi girly,
Are you eating any sugar free popsicle sticks? I learned that helped my hydration and feelings of hunger. Another thing is that you need to be eating every two to three hours. Eat only protein such as fat free cottage cheese, less watery protein shakes, eggs, pureed beans, anything protein with little to no carbs. I have felt hungry but I have not since I am always drinking water and eating proteins. And I know you stated you are not a water drinker so get some crystal light and put some in 16 oz water bottles you can get for pennies at Costco or Sam's Club. Put an alarm on your phone for every two to three hours so you know you need to eat something. This will stop maybe cravings or eating more than you should in the evenings. I purchased protein drinks- a pack of 18 that you can take anywhere with you and you just sip on them on the road, work, anywhere you go. They are called Premier protein. I got them at Walmart, they also have them at Sam's Club and Costco or what ever wholesale warehouse you have locally. they have 25g of protein each drink. My doctor recommended them.
Our diet should not be hard to maintain and you should not be hungry. Remember, if you feel hungry still, eat protein, the fat free jello will not help. I hope my post op practices help you. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Hi! I do have the protein shakes called Premier but the only one that I like taste is the chocolate. I thought vanilla and strawberry as well but I need to figure out a way to mix them with something and make them taste better for me to drink...any suggestions? No I have not gotten any sugar free popsicle sticks but I definitely will. I do eat fat-free refried beans and eggs, I need to get the fat free cottage cheese and crystal light. I need to sit down and make a schedule for myself for food, liquid, and vitamins. I think that would help me a lot along with setting my alarm every 2 to 3 hours like you suggested. Do you have one that you made? Your journey so far sounds amazing, you have definitely lost more than I have. I have lost 14 pounds to date. I really want to lose more. :)

I have kinda winged it when it comes to when I eat. I just usually keep an eye on the clock and don't let 3 hours pass without eating protein. Water, I'm always sipping on it unless I'm full of it. I take my Celebrate multivitamin when I wake up along with other meds I'm still on with a protein shake. Then just every three hours after I eat something.
I went grocery shopping last night and found another beautiful option of protein. I went to the tuna section and I found the packs of tuna that come in 2.5 oz foil packages that you can just eat as well because it's the amount of oz' you should eat each time. They come in buffalo style flavor, lemon pepper, garlic salt, and taco flavor tuna. I forgot to mention lite yogurt but for diabetics. Their is a yogurt from yoplait that's called light and fit for diabetics and that is absolutely perfect for your diet.

Thank you so much, that all really helps! 16 lbs down today. I tried the fat free cottage cheese today and OMG it hurt my stomach well I don't think it was my stomach it's down low so maybe gassy? Maybe the cheese? Feels really crampy on and off. Not a comfortable feeling. :(

It probably made you gassy. Can you tolerate 1% milk? Gurl, it will get better. Just be creative with your options. I also boiled eggs and puréed them with tuna juice and tuna and was good! It does not sound good or look good but you got to get creative. For Mother's Day, my family had brisket, sausage, fajitas, ranch beans... You name it. I got the bean juice with some beans and puréed it with grilled chicken. It was delicious and I got full with 3oz of it. I still managed to loose 2lbs from yesterday. Just sticking to protein. Im 22lbs down.

Those are some great ideas, thank you. I think I can tolerate 1% milk. 22 pounds, that's awesome I'm at 18 pounds.

Ouch!!!
Okay while I was sipping my water, I swallowed wrong or it went down the wrong pipe or whatever but it made me start coughing really bad and I have never felt pain like that in my life. It is still sore. Just be extra careful and do anything you can not to make yourself cough.
Oh and here are a few pictures

ER visit....Reality check!
So I wasn't drinking as much water as I should have been and then I couldn't catch up. So I became very dizzy and had shortness of breath for the last few days and they were getting worse so I went to the ER. They gave me fluids through IV, chest x-ray, CT, checked my blood, EKG. I had also tripped and fell over my Sons toy a few days ago and I thought I hurt my insides so they checked everything and it all came back normal. Thank God! Was just dehydrated. So a little reality check to make sure I stay on top of my daily water intake so this doesn't happen again. Very Important! I have never been a really big water drinker but things have changed and this is a whole new life. :)

I agree with staying away from Carbs. I was 2 weeks post op and introduced canned soups that had 24 grams of carbs and I stopped loosing weight! As soon as I got rid of the soups and made my own without the pasta in them I started loosing 2 lbs a day! I'm so proud of your weight loss success. It feels good to get back to health again. I can't weight to be there too. I have lost 19 lbs in 2.5 weeks post op and will be going on vacation in two months to Walt Disney and hope I can be down 50 lbs!
Do you remember how much weight you lost in your first month?
