Though I still have one more surgery to go to complete my reconstructed breasts (this would be the nipple reconstruction then aeriola tattooing) I am already so pleased and amazed at Dr. Rumalla's very thorough work.

I LOVE the pictures you posted - you look great, and have such a sassy attitude about you! Do you have your nipple surgery scheduled yet? Would love to hear how you are feeling about that.

Sorry to hear an illness delayed things for you. I'm glad you had a successful surgery - hoping the tattooing goes great for you!!

my cancer came back though I got tattooed before starting more chemo and rads...now my new left breast is a rock hard ball and I am contemplating the lattissimus dorsi flap surgery...like Rosanne Rosanna Danna would of said..."it's always something!"...lol...if I do not choose the tough surgery, I will still finish the tats which needed some touching up...lol...cheers.

I loved Rosanna Rosanna Danna! Such a wonderful spirit and attitude. So it's just the left breast that got rock hard? We'd love a review update when you have a chance. Thanks for keeping us posted. We'll be here for you! ;)

As luck would have it, my cancer came back in March 2013 and I had another regime of chemo and radiation too which I did not have the first time...needless to say, the radiation ruined my new left breast and the only option to fix this rock hard ball is the lattissimus dorsi flap...if I choose to proceed, Dr. Rumalla will be my choice!

I, too, had recurring CA of Left breast. I had DCIS in the right with lumpectomy and radiation….one year later, DCIS left, with lumpectomy and radiation, 4 years later, recurrence in left. Mastectomies with lat flap reconstruction and implants. This was 9 years ago. Now I am getting the implants out and a lift with some fat grafting. I am looking forward to getting the toxic implants OUT! I have lost 20 pounds since they were put in with NO change in my bust size. I am totally top heavy and it is affecting my posture and ability to engage in sports. I am soon to be 70 and don't want to get into my dotage with big boobs. I hope you're doing okay. The lat flap deal is a pain but with lots of work, it has worked out well. I think radiation was the worst thing. Hind sight is 20/20.
