Going in for lift with implants , my goal is to have no sag & fuller breast. Excited & nervous....most importantly to me is to heal with no infections or problems. Working out daily, eating healthy & taking antioxidants. Would love any input from anyone to help ease through this procedure. What did you do to heal quickly with no issues?? And to stay comfortable after surgery.

I just had my BL/aug surgery yesterday, and honestly I feel way better than I thought I would! I think the key is to keep on my pain meds and muscle relaxer. I also borrowed a wedge pillow from a friend who also had this procedure recently. I keep pillows along the sides of me for my arms to rest on. The anesthesiolist gave me a patch behind my ear right before surgery that I can wear for 3 days...that, plus the single Emend table i took before surgery has resulted in no nausea for me at all. My PS gave me an Rx for anti-nausea but I haven't had the need to take it at all. The surgery itself was a piece of cake, IMO. Good support is key! My husband keeps up with the med timing and that has helped tremendously. Good luck with everything!

I found sleeping in a recliner was more comfortable. Pre-made healthy meals were helpful. Also a lot of vitamin C to promote healing.

I'm trying to order a recliner now so I will have it in time. Good advice! Thanks!

Use a recliner if you're getting the anchor to keep the weight off those stitches the 1st few days. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Morning surgery today! Pain is tolerable, hubby is doing great with my meds, feeding me yogurt, soup, applesauce, drinking Gatorade & Sprite. I was a little nauseous so I haven taken one pill for that. I've walked around as instructed & ice them. Resting in recliner most of the day. Sleeping in rec

The key for me was to keep my arms still. I had so little discomfort that I didn't need any pain medication after my surgery. Ice, ice, ice kept any swelling and inflamation at bay and it felt good to my incisions. The part that I found challenging was whenever I first stood up after a long time laying down, I could feel the weight of them pulling on my chest muscles and I guess that is what is called morning boob. It did go away as my muscles relaxed over the weeks but occasionally, even now, 18 months out, I can sometimes feel that pressure but it was never real painful...just a noticeable ache. I love my breast and couldn't be happier that I had the lift and implants. Good luck and my hope is that you are just thrilled with your new breasts!

I have been icing as well. Helps a lot. And I'm getting up & walking bc if I wait too long it hurts. I wish I would have done this sooner! Loving them so far!!

Be careful with the icing...can cause frostbite n complications. I know it feels good but 5 minute increments to be safe☺
