Pros
-improved body image after having two children
-stomach muscles are repaired so less pressure on back
-improved sex life with hubby
Cons
-recovery time and pain with tummy tuck
-numbness still remains across stomach almost a year later
-very large scar with a tummy tuck

Make sure if you have small children at home that they have someone else to help care for them for a few days post op. You really need a few days to recover from the surgery.

One of the hardest things to do after a tummy tuck was trying to get out of bed. I would roll to one side and pull myself up using the bed post.

Remember to watch what you eat post op so you don't gain weight.

Getting a mommy makeover was one of the best things I could do for myself. If I had to do it over again, I totally would in a heart beat. I feel so much better about my body. I love my kids but growing a human or two can really take a toll. If you are wanting to get this procedure done I would recommend extensively researching your surgeon and look at his before and after gallery.

So glad you are happy with your results. Thank you for sharing on RealSelf! What foods did you eat as you were recovering that tasted especially good to you?

I'm considering dr. Joe, do you have any pictures of your procedure? especially the tummy tuck scar and belly button? I'm so nervous about those!
