Tray 14

So, I'm not an active person on here. I'm just busy to sit and type, but I figure I'll give a 6 month update. Some of my trays have cut my lips, or been slightly uncortable, but seems to go away with a couple days. I think I have a high pain tolerance, my teeth never seem to hurt or both me. I am quite happy with my progress so far! Baby teeth out February 16'

I'm 23 years old. Never had braces. Never had...

I'm 23 years old. Never had braces. Never had straight teeth but they didn't really seem to bother me, until about a month ago! I am on one of the lucky ones that never lost all her baby teeth! Go me! :) so my cuspids are still up in my gums, and my baby teeth sit where they should be! You can see in my profile picture just where those nasty little cuspids are! Recently it has felt like my teeth are moving, after seeing The X-ray it seems as though my one cuspids is pushing down on my other teeth and maybe that's why I felt movement. My other cuspid has lodged himself inside my gums all goofy! So here I am, 23 and I pretty much have to do braces and or invisalign if I don't want to run the risk of worrying about my teeth falling out! They tell me my baby teeth could come out in 6 months or 6 years. There's no way to know. :(. So, I spoke with an ortho. He told me I could do invisalign but at some point my baby teeth will need to get pulled and they will need to do exposures to my cuspids that are lodged in my gums. They will then hook a chain to these cuspids and pull them down out of the roof of my mouth. My ortho says he has never used invisalign to pull teeth down, he will try and worst case scenario I might have to go to traditional braces while the teeth are pulling down and then switch back to invisalign. I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with similar issues of pulling teeth down? Any advice and encouragement is appreciated! Prefer not to hear horror stories, this is something I HAVE to do! I go in to get fitted for my trays on April 8! Seems so far away and I'm ready to get this process going, but I'm also trying to tell myself to enjoy the last month of my teeth without pain and braces! It's a catch 22! Also, my braces/invisalgn is set to take 2 years! Two very long years....so I'm ready to get started just to get done! I have read about 100 different stories on hear, and it seems as though invisalign sucks! It's painful, it's a [RS bleep] to try and take out, and you live a very hungry life! But when I read how people are seeing changes and how happy they are, it sounds 100 percent worth it! I am telling myself this will be 100 percent worth it! Two long years, but when it's all said and done I'll wear a retainer for the rest of my life, and never worry about it again! Positive thoughts are the only thoughts I want! :)
