Totally Worth It -Fort Myers, FL

I found the perfect surgeon and scheduled my surgery two months ago. The doctor was very thorough prior to the surgery and I was totally prepared. I am 65 years old and eat a Paleo diet. I also do cross-fit outdoor fitness training 4 days a week. I knew that I was healthy and toned (except for that extra skin we all hate) and ready for the next step. Except for not sleeping the first night because of the annoying sound of the Air Cast used to massage my legs so I didn't get blood clots...everything has been fine. I have experienced zero pain, tightness, yes but no pain...the drains are working great and except for the stiffness in my back and abdomen I am doing great...sorry I waited so long to have this done

I have reached the 3rd week and I am doing fantastic. The surgeon and her staff have been right there to answer any and all questions pre and post surgery...I had a small fluid pocket after the drains came out (what a relief) and it seeped through a small opening in the incision that night and nothing since. I am wearing the sterile incision covers now and I have full range of motion back. I am still not lifting anything over 10 lbs and can't wait for the 6 week mark to get back to my cross-fit training. This has been the most awesome experience except for childbirth LOL. I would recommend that if you are sitting on the fence about this...go ahead and do it..you won't be sorry.
