8 years ago after having 4 children I had a tummy tuck and 325cc saline implants.
I spent my life prior as a small B and always wanted to go bigger. My doctor was great but very conservative and convinced me that a "large C" was the best option so I went for it.
Surgery and recovery was fine.I was probably more happy with the tummy tuck than the breasts but they were bigger and did look better so I accepted my new look.
This September I was in a car accident that resulted in my left saline implant rupturing .
I now have the opportunity to get the breasts I have always wanted (500-600 cc "gummy bears")and can't wait .
At least something good is coming out of this fairly traumatic accident.

So sorry to hear about the car accident. Did you feel the rupture immediately or were you rather traumatized at the moment? You're right, I'm glad something good is coming out of it. When do you hope to get your revision surgery? Looking forward to your updates!

I knew immediately .
It felt like I got punched in the breast.
Unfortunately the ER did not do an MRI but thankfully I had a mammo the month prior to the accident .
The day after the accident I noticed "shrinkage "and within about 3 days the saline was empty.
Having the empty capsule inside is painful as it moves around .
Hopefully my surgery will be within the next 2 weeks!

Oh geez, I never thought about the deflated capsule moving around and being painful. So glad you can get this addressed fairly soon. Do you keep a tighter sports bra on to keep it from moving? Or are you still sore from the accident? I'm so sorry!

On a brighter note, I have yet to hear of someone being disappointed when going from saline to gummy bear implants. There are a few other members on RealSelf getting breast implant revisions this November 2015. Feel free to join the forum and keep us posted!

41,4 Kids,Ruptured 10 Year Old Saline Replaced with 680 CC Gummies

Elf001

Just got home today and couldn't be happier.
9/12/15 I was involved in a car accident that ruptured my left side ,10 year old saline implant (pictures up in previous posts). After a lot of wrangling with insurance and dealing with chronic pain and many consultations I went with the Schneider Centre in Fort Myers Florida and could not be happier with Dr.Schneider and his entire staff.
I have 680 cc "gummies " and am in love ,feeling great and up and around and not groggy.
I healed fast 10 years ago and thankfully it looks like I will heal fairly quickly this time too.
Can't wait until I can go bra shop!

A Week Post Op!

Feel fantastic and love my new breasts SO much!
Was up and around on day 2 and off pain meds and only taking Tylenol by then also.
The hardest part is resting!I feel good and just want to get back to regular life!
Swelling has gone down and my "good side"(the right that was an implant exchange only)has "dropped " and no pain and minimal swelling.
My "bad side"(the left that the ruptured implant and needed re construction )is still pretty high ,swollen and a bit painful (keeps me in check if I over do it).
I tried on some of my favorite clothes that I was worried wouldn't fit due to the new breasts but they do fit and look great!
Post Op visit is on Tuesday.
Still over the moon with Dr.Schneider's work just anxious for the stitches to be gone and have life get back to normal!
