Malpositioned Implants and Deformed Arms
Two surgeries with Dr Wigoda. One to get arm and pec implants after chemotherapy to restore some bulk, after muscle loss as a result of the chemo. The second, to try to fix what he did the first time, with a fat transfer into the scar tissue, which left me looking even more deformed .
I was left with 5 out of 6 malpositioned implants, one capsular contracture, and three balls of fat on my bicep that looked absolutely ridiculous.
My malpositioned implants were visible to the untrained as well the professional eye and cause me three years of emotional, physical and financial stress.
I had my chest revised by wonderful doctor in New York, Dr Steinbrech, and ended up on a national TV show trying to revise and remove my triceps and biceps.
His soft-spoken demeaner turned into a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde when there was a problem and became a very calloused, vindictive and unprofessional Dr.
The kicker was when I went into his office to show them at my triceps but down by my elbows and people were laughing at me I was told that it was my imagination and they look fine.
Dr Wigoda does not have malpractice insurance. Unfortunate situations do happen, I think that's an important factor in making your decision!
