Only 15 days till my tummy tuck. Hal Michael Bass M.D. will be my surgeon. I received my post surgery supplies in the mail last week. My order cost around $200 on Amazon.

I have read many complaints about post surgery constipation due to the medication. In my efforts to avoid that annoyance (as much as possible) I will be on a diet of freshly juiced; spinach, fennel, carrot, apple, orange, lettuce, kale, cucumber, ginger, and celery. Along with homemade chicken broth. Hopefully I'll be on pain meds for only a few days.
I had my post-op appointment 2 days ago. I'm having a hard time being truly excited. I think it's because I can't imagine myself with a flat stomach so it feel like it's a waste of money at this point. Also, having 3 kids at home (we homeschool) ages 9,5, and 1 1/2 I'm nervous about the recovery time. But my mother in-law will be staying with us through the first week. I also have many supportive friends who have offered to help whenever I need it.
I feel very blessed to have a husband who supports me in this venture (even though he thinks I'm perfect the way I am). For me, it's been inspiring reading others experiences and seeing their results. I'm looking forward to seeing my own results and sharing them with you.

Hi! Not yet, but I have a list of 5 surgeons that I want to interview - I plan to start doing this in January, to do the Surgery mid June :)

I am 9 weeks post op and ur gonna love the results
Jus take it day by day
Every week is an improvement
Hv trash cans on hand for when u feel like throwing up
Watch what u eat while healing
Oh n get toys movies or something to entertain the kids cuz u will be in bed for a while keep us posted and good luck you will be fine it all goes by so fast.

Oh man, I know I'll be throwing up. I'm dreading that the most. Vomiting is the closest thing to death, I swear! The physician said they'll give me an anti nausea medication before waking me up from surgery. Hopefully that will get me through the first day. Did you throw up beyond the first few hours?

I did throw up after the first day
I also had meds for nausea n they would help but when that throw up wants to come out it does. It's like a bad hangover!! I also had a hard time knowing how much Vicodin I should take think that was to strong for my stomach too
The insicion it's self didn't hurt my back killed me.

For me, I still cannot sleep flat on my back. It just feels a little tight in my tummy. I don't wanna thicken my scar so I'll listen to my body on that one.

I'm 25 days po. Never had nausea but for some reason I wanna sneeze a few times a day! I've managed to stop every one of them, though. I'm still swollen but I can tell I'm going to be able to wear sexy dresses soon! Good luck to you, honey!

I took some pics today. Still really swollen but it's getting better every day. I'm pretty happy with my scar except on end of it. Looks like she put a nipple there :)

1 More Week of Unbuttoned Pants
Getting dressed in the morning used to be one of my favorite things. Putting on makeup, doing my hair, cute clothes, it was all part of a fun me-myself-and-I-routine. Unfortunately, I lost my love of taking care of myself and looking my best when none of my pants would button, my muffin-top shown proudly, and my baby flap created an odd out of place lump by my crotch. If it fits my butt, thighs, and legs it wouldn't button. If it buttons, it's baggy on my butt, crotch, thighs, and legs. The tiring, depressing task of finding clothes that cover the baby flap is beyond frustrating. I always feel odd and uncomfortable. Needless to say, the joy of shopping and looking my best has became a daunting task. One I avoid too often.
I am so ready to get back my zeal towards looking my best! And as all ladies know, when we look our best, we feel and act our best. Am I right!? One more week...
