I have wanted to have a face lift for so many years. I have so much damage from the sun and many other things. And unfortunately look several years older than what I actually am. I looked long and hard to find a Dr. that I thought would be the right fit for me. If you make a mistake on your face....would be really a bad thing.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.
I did this procedure because the side of my face looked like an accordion. To the point I hated to even smile as the wrinkles were so bad. I had jowls and a saggy under chin area. I also had very thin lips and marionette lines. Dr. Thomassen injected fat into my lips and lines. Dr. Thomassen only uses as much as is needed to make you look nice right now. Which is wonderful! Some people’s body absorbs all of the fat and some people none and some 30% you don’t know until after. So Dr. Thomassen feels better to add more at a later date if needed as you don’t want to look like a duck. I love my new lips! My husband who is so against any of this type of thing could not believe how great I look and he was the one that offered to take care of me. It is not a bad procedure at all. You just look like you were fighting for your life.
I never thought that a mini face lift could correct all that I had wrong. I still have some lines which is great I am 62 not 20 so I look very natural. Dr. Thomassen also suggested my eyes which I really had not considered doing and so glad I did. They are now open and bright.
I did not personally know anyone who had this done and because I wanted to keep it quiet I didn’t have any one really to ask a lot of questions of. I did not expect my eyes to be so swollen and was very afraid that they would stay so small which they didn’t. I realize it will take a lot longer for them to get the permanent shape and I will be patient. The first week they were very almond now they look more like they did when I was younger and I know they will even look better as time goes on.
There is no wait time in the office, they are so organized and my surgery was at 7:30 and at 7:31 Dr. Thomassen was standing at the end of my bed.
I am full steam ahead and have another procedure booked for Jan and can’t wait for the new and very much improved me!
