My personal blepharoplasty journey has been a long one. Heavy eyelids run on both sides of my family; add years of tanning and my fair share of stress and my eyelids were a mess! I started to notice a difference in the way that my eye makeup looked at around age thirty. By my late thirties I could no longer wear makeup as my eyes became so hooded and crepey; this just transferred makeup all over my eyes. I looked like a clown! I turned to Realself for a solution; this is where I found Dr Thomassen. Two years later, after much research, I made my appointment. I had my procedure done in office under a local. I would compare it to having a tooth extracted. I had no pain. I took no pain medication even after the procedure. I had A LOT of excess skin. I know Drs. tend to be a bit conservative when it comes to removing eyelid skin and I fully expected I would have to return for a revision once I healed. This would not be the case. My experience exceeded my expectations!

What was the cost and did you have any dry eye or other post op "issues"? Could you post an "eyes forward", no make-up close pic? I am not so interested in the scar as the shape of the lid (distorted by looking up or with brows raised). Your result looks really wonderful!

One month later.......
I'm loving my results. I went from not being able to wear makeup to on my way to becoming VIB Rouge!
