I had surgery with Dr. Pinnella @ Florida Center...

I had surgery with Dr. Pinnella @ Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery in January 2016. I had lipo of 12 areas and a fat transfer for a BBL. I was extremely disappointed with the results. First of all, during the initial visit for the consult he barely took the time to review with me what it was that I wanted to accomplish with my surgery. He made suggestions and that was it. That should have been my first indication that going to him was a mistake. So I did the surgery and the staff was great with the follow-up call to see how I was doing. The following day for my first post-op visit when I got undressed I noticed several large dents/flat areas in my butt cheeks. I brought it to the doctors attention and he just stated that I need to give the fat time to settle. So wait until the 6 month mark then we can revisit that issue. But everytime I went for my post op visits during that 6 month period the dents got worst and he just kept telling me the same story about waiting. Finally in April I saw him for my final post-op visit and told him the issue is not correcting itself and that a revision is needed. He then stated its a minor problem you look fine to me. Excuse me! WTF I didn't pay $5000 for an ok result that was way less than ok. I was upset by this remark and told him it needs to be fixed. He said ok but you would need to gain weight in order for me to have enough fat to harvest for the transfer and sent me to the financing department to set up a surgery date or so I thought. When I went to the finance person she told me I needed to pay $3400 for the surgery again. WHAT! I ask her if she was seriously going to charge me for the redo. She said yes and if I wanted to dispute it I would need to write an email to the company's email address and someone will get back to me. So thats what I did. It took them weeks almost a month to let me know that the doctor decided he will redo the surgery but I would need to pay for the anesthesia. I told them that they need to keep in mind that its not just the surgery cost the patients have, I already paid $1600 for the post-op lymphatic massages, the fajas( several compression garments @ $105 each), and the supplies. And with the second surgery I am going to have to do the same purchases again. She stated that she understood but that is their final offer. I'm not happy with that but I finally agreed. I was told the surgery was possible for August but the doctor is going to have surgery on his hands and that they will let me know the exact date for August. A couple months went by and no date was given to me and no responses to my emails and several phone calls I made went unanswered. Finally when they got back to me August 10, 2016 was to tell me that the doctor is unable to perform the surgery in August and that he may not be doing it for at least 3 months or maybe not anymore. I was shocked! I asked so what does that mean? So will one of his fellow doctors be doing the surgery? They told me I can wait and see what the doctor decides in 3 months if he was going to continue to perform this type of surgery or I can go with another doctor. I told them I don't mind going with another doctor. They said ok they will have someone in financing call me. The lady called me right away and told me that another doctor will do it for $2400. Now her and I began going back and forth over the fact that they are charging me all this money again for something that the doctor obviously did incorrectly. She said that's their final offer. I am extremely upset with this! I have referred many people to this doctor in the past after he did my breasts reduction with a lift and my mother's tummy tuck. Now I go to him to have another procedure done that apparently wasn't his expertise and he screws up and not wanting to fix what he did. That's just so wrong. So I gained 25 lbs to do the revision and now I'm unable to have it done without more cost than I anticipated. This is just not right. If a doctor isn't skilled at performing a certain procedure he should stick to what he knows and does best and not take patients money that are putting their faith in them to do and excellent job that they promised to do.
