Glad I did it
1 Day Post Op Review With Doctor
Dr. Thomassen left the surgical bra and the compression garment he provided on me and reminded me not to take a shower until Saturday. One nipple has sensation and the other nipple does not. Today, I was able to avoid pain medicine from 1 to 8 pm. I simply rested in the family room all day after leaving Dr. Thomassen. Yes, breast are high, even, and swollen. I am glad i did not go with an implant, as suggested by Dr. Thomassen. My breast look very youthful. I do have stretch marks on my breast, but the stretch marks look better and less visible. Now it's bed time, I put two pads per nipple and a zip up bra over the surgical bra.
I have no problem raising my arms, although I am taking it easy. My breast look like I have implants, with fullness in my upper pole. I was a 34DD before surgery and I hope to continue at 34DD or at least a 34D. I also showed my breast to my daughters and they like the way my breast look. My husband is not going to like me posting pictures, thus, I hope my description and high level of satisfaction helps. My next meeting with Dr. Thomassen is next week. Look no further, as his work and bedside manners are top notch. I have not seen my cuts yet, as the tape covers them up. Next week he will remove the tape. I will go to work on Monday. At minimum, you should take 2 days off from work...this is if you MUST work and will suffer financially. Otherwise, take at least 3 days adyer the surgery date (4 days).
1 Day Post Surgery
The pciture shows the blood spots that were there on day one and when I see Dr. Thomassen today, I believe he will remove them and tell me when I can wear my compression garment.
I did not have the full, anchor lift, but the vertical lift only and Dr. Thomassen stated that he thought that was all I needed for great results. I shall see today. Currently, my breast is sitting up high, but from some of the readings on realself, my breast will drop.
Although I have not seen the scars, I must say that I am feeling pretty happy. I continue to feel very comfortable with Dr. Thomassen. Yesterday, my husband was in the room when he drew on my chest and from the look and sound of everything, my husband was happy with the drawing. He asked Dr. Thomassen several questions and Dr. Thomassen answered them completely. Yesterday, around 5 p.m., when I got home, I took my medicine, ate yogart, noodle soup and drink water. Dr. Thomassen called and said I could eat dinner too...Thus, around 8 p.m. (so I think) my famiy had pizza and I had Roman noodles. For some odd reason, I just wanted something light. I enjoyed watching TV and not thinking about pain, unbelievable how I could not feel pain at times. Today, I see Dr. Thomassen and I will be able to see my vertical cuts, I will also have my husband go by WholeFoods and purchase Miso Soup. A lady told me miso soup is a healing soup, so I will try it. Oh, and this morning I had a banana, yogart, and tangerine. My drink was water and hot green tea with lemon and honey. Okay, back to resting before my doctor's appointment.
Provider Review
Tomorrow, I am having a full breast lift with Dr. Thomassen. I am extremely excited to have my nice 34DD become perky. I am surprised with how nice, caring, informative and friendly the staff are...especially Michelle who answered every single call and email within 30 mins or less. I went from wanting implants to no implants; wanting an areola lift to a full list, wanting no scars to not caring about scars. There was never a push to get me to do anything. It was simply. ..let us tell you what we believe and then we will help you understand the decision you made. But each decision was my own, with absolutely no pressure. Dr. Thomassen was the first doctor my husband and I met and we felt comfortable, which is a big statement coming from two detailed, perfectionist and want nothing but the best individuals. I was especially surprised how he took his time to answer 150 questions when we were only visiting for a free, no obligation consultation. He is also precise and you can read his face well and he explains his thought processes. His voice is soothing, as well as his personality. My husband actually felt comfortable with me and my breast just hanging out in from of Dr. Thomassen (Lol). I simply cancelled all other appointments as our comfort level was extremely high without any doubts. Michelle's laughter and kindness is contagious and she has called me almost each day leading up to the surgery to remind me of things she has already told me....compression garmet, vitamins, prescriptions, no alcohol, whose driving you home, don't forget, etc. Love her and we just met in October. She doesn't owe me all this kindness, but it continued from day one. With all of this being said, my surgery is tomorrow...liposuction and anchor breast lift without implants.
