1 Month Post Op

Hi Ladies
Well today I am 1 month and 2 days post op. I'm feeling about 90%. The girls have drop and softened up a bit. The right is being more stubborn than the left. Me left breast has numbness towards the center from the nipple down. I read it's normal but it still worries me. Everyday I pass my finger over that part hoping I can feel it. My scars are healing nicely. They are less bumpy and becoming lighter. I'm using Scar Away patches I purchased at CVS.
I returned to the gym on friday and only did glutes. I felt so weak. I was only able to do the stepper for 12 minutes before I gave up because I felt pressure on my incision. I didn't want to overdue it. Slowly but surely I should be 100%. I tend to forget that I had surgery only a month ago. I've returned to work but not patrol yet so I haven't worn my vest. I still have one more week for that.
Overall, I'm happy with the size. But Im still waiting on the D and F fairy.

Mondor's Cord and Scar Cream.
Hi ladies
Even after all the research I did before getting BA, I never heard or saw anything on Mondor's cord. And now have one. It is the clotting (thrombosis) of the superficial veins that cross the fold below the breasts. The affected vein becomes tight and forms a band that is visible when you raise your arms that develops under the breast. In my case its under my left breast. Its fairly normal and goes away on its own, in time. Its more annoying than anything because it prevents me from really stretching out my arm. Ive read that a warm compress and advil can help them go away faster.
My doctor gave me the ok to remove the steristrips. I was wondering what scar cream works really well. Ive been told scarguard is the best but I've read some reviews about the gel sticking onto the bra. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

I developed a couple of Mondor's cords too :( My PS gave me BioCorneum. I like it so far but I am only 3 weeks post op and started using it 1 week post op. It has great reviews and apparently Angelina Jokie used it. You look great, btw!

Thank you Nightlily! The Mondor cords aren't too bad for now. They didn't have BioCorneum in 3 pharmacy's I went to. SO I decided to go with Scar Away Patches. Its really all the same thing. The pharmacist recommended the patches because they stay on and are easier to peel off without disturbing the incision. Hopefully it works.

It's great to come across your review! I too am in law enforcement. Will you let me know how much recovery time you took, if it was enough, and how your vest fits now? It's a lot to ask, but I'm sure I won't run into another review like yours

Hi Carol! SOrry its taken me this long to reply. I took 12 working days off from my job and it totaled a full 3 weeks off to recovery. I went back to work. However, not in patrol yet. I have another three weeks off the road so I haven't worn my vest yet. I tried it on and it closes completely however i feel the pressure on the boobs and I'm afraid its going to flatten them. Hopefully by the time I am back on the road it will feel more comfortable.

Do you wear your vest under your uniform shirt or is it an outside carrier? Our department just approved outside carriers so this works best for me. Ill prob have it loose for a little, while on patrol and just tighten it when I go on a job.

I wear it under my uniform. We recently got fitted for more "female" friendly vests....but I hate the fit and wear my old one instead.

I requested 4 weeks off. I have two approved right now, waiting on the other two. I don't think only 2 weeks will be enough, so heres to hoping I get the other two. I unfortunately don't have the option to work off patrol, if I'm there I'm on patrol. I'm worried about getting into any type of scuffle or altercation.....in the moment my boobs would be the last thing on my mind, but scary thought to pay all that money and immediately mess it all up.......my random "what if " thoughts

Yes! Completely understand!! 2 weeks is not enough. I really hope you get the extra 2. The first few weeks are the most important because the implant is settling and taking form in the pocket. Keep us updated. I'm coming up to my 1 month in a few days. Ill post up an update!.

D and F fairy where are you? 2 weeks post op
Hola,
2 weeks today and I can't believe how time flies. The girls are still sitting high. Im still waiting for the drop and fluff fairy to get here already. I'm wearing the band for most of the day now. Since Ive been home I was worried that people would notice. Although I'm not back to work yet, I had a meeting with my coworkers for an event we are hosting. Just a reminder, I'm a police officer in a department of 5 females and 100 males. However, no one noticed or at least I don't think so. I went shopping for some simple and soft bras. I found some at Target for a really cheap price. I have to admit that this mini "vacation" im on is great but now im itching to return to work. Not being able to go to the gym isn't helping either. But again, I need to have patience. My job isn't easy and I'm sure my vest still doesn't fit yet.
