I don't want to talk about the pain relative to...

I don't want to talk about the pain relative to having large breast, WE ALL KNOW THAT STRUGGLE! Having large breast AND being so short (5'2) is a whole other story.

Let me talk about how I chose my doctor. So in 2012 my sister had a fat transfer (BBL) from this place in Fort Lauderdale, FL (we are from the Bay area of California) called Strax Rejuventation. She heard about this place from a friend that had multiple surgeries at this place and was obviously more than satisfied with the results and highly recommended it to my sister. The place was fairly cheap so I was kinda skeptical. After the BBL my sister went to on to have a tummy tuck in 2013/2014 and she looks amazing. Her doctors did an amazing job. She couldn't remember the names of both the doctors but one was named Dr. Pane.

Fast forward to December 2016. Shortly after starting a new job that constantly has me on my feet, I began to suffer tremendously. Being on my feet constantly for 7.5 hours made me want to quit. Instead of letting the pain hold me back I decided to just hit the problem on the head. I called in for a free consultation. Because I was literally on the opposite side of the country from this doctor's office, the patient coordinator handled everything via email and phone. Sent my before pictures to them and a doctor evaluated them to see if I was a right candidate for the surgery. After I was given the okay, I was also given a quote. If I was good with the quote, to book the surgery date I had to make a deposit of $500 (I wound up paying $250 because my surgery date was so far away), which would go towards your total balance. This whole process took about a week (due to time difference and my work schedule). I believe I paid my deposit December 27, 2017 and I booked my surgery date for 4/18/2017!! I did my surgery date so far because of work and getting the money for hotel, flight etc. They stated that the procedure doesn't have to be paid for right away at the time of booking but must be paid in full a week before your surgery date. They gave me the option to basically do like a lay-away type thing, where I pay how much I could on it each month until it's closer to my surgery date. If there is still a balance, of course they have financing options. So I personally didn't have the patience to try and see if my insurance company would pay for the costs. Mainly because I know I have crappy insurance and they'd make me jump through crazy hoops and abide by their stupid guidelines. I feel like if there is going to be any alterations to my body I want it to be the way I want it. I just wound up financing the whole thing (which I realize now was stupid because of interest). I have a pre-op appointment a day before my surgery date (4/17/17) with my doctor so that we can go over what is all going to be done and what not. They advice me to stay in town for a minimum of 7 days after my procedure so that they could make sure everything is okay for flight back home. On March 21st the "pre-op department" I believe they called it that, requested blood work to be done and processed in there account (they stated blood work has to be done within 30 days of procedure date). So here I am, two weeks before my procedure and I'm honestly not even nervous. I just can't wait to get off my feet. Within these last 3 months I've been working like a mad woman!

CHANGE IN SURGERY DATE/An addition to the surgery (arm lipo)

My breast reduction isn't the only procedure that I'll be having with my PS. I'll be having Liposuction on multiple areas (abdomen, bra rolls, back, flanks, inner thighs and arms) as well. Per my patient coordinator, Florida state law prohibits any liposuction over 1000 cc's during the time of a breast reduction so they had to separate the procedures. Breast reduction was originally supposed to be 4/18/17 and liposuction 4/24/17. Today they called and stated that the two procedures would be switched. Liposuction now tomorrow, 4/18/17, and Breast Reduction, 4/24/17. Because there is a lot of fat that is to be removed from my torso area, the doctor requested that I have my arms be lipo-ed at a different time...which will be with my breast reduction on the 24th. Because my breast reduction is now scheduled for a later date, I wasn't given much information on that at my pre-operative appointment today.

I'll continue to keep you beauties posted!

Halt in Breast Reduction :'(

Hey ladies,

So I was supposed to come in today for my Breast Reduction at 7 am. I was not only going to be my doctor's only patient but the first patient seen today and I'd have the perfect amount of time for my drains to be taken out before I flew back home to CA. I was excited!! When I get there, my doctor had a note on my file to have my hemoglobin taken because it was low when I did a second blood drawn after the Lipo. The nurse warned me that if it had gone down any lower that they'd have to cancel the procedure because I would be at risk of bleeding out because a breast reduction is a big procedure. WITH MY LUCK! IT WAS JUST THAT! The normal range for your hemoglobin is 11.5-15.2 g/dl. On 4/20 it was a 10.2 and when checked today it was at 9.2. My hemoglobin was dropping at an alarming rate. They cancelled my procedure and explained that I could just wait it out (she stated that it was normal after a procedure like Liposuction, especially how much fat my PS took out) or I could take vitamins such as Iron, B12, and C (as well as eat red meats and dark green veggies) and REST! I'm taking the vitamins and resting. As for when my breast reduction will be done?...I have no clue. The OR director said that I could stick around and wait it out for a week or two and then get it done. The fact that I'm not from FL and have no family/friends in the state, that wasn't an option financial wise. So for now it's on the back burner. :(
