$6,000
I have found that I cant move fat anymore since starting getting healthy 6 years ago. The older I get, the harder it was, so I decided to try Lipo to move some of the more "uncomfortable" fat areas, and see if that would help to be "satisfied" with my appearance. I work out 6 days a week, running, spinning, lifting and turbo kickboxing. Always working on improving the diet (my hardest part) but no amount of exercise would change the "shape" of me.

Dr visit...all is normal
So I just got back from my one week checkup, and he says all is going as scheduled. It will take time for the swelling to go down and should give it at least 2 more weeks to see some difference. Scale was back to just about where I was before procedure this morning, after going up the last week, rather than down. He said they also injected 4 liters of fluid into me during the procedure, and since no drainage whatsoever after the procedure, my body has to absorb and rid itself of the extra fluid too. I should see some improvements though in the next couple of weeks.

I didn't see much difference until yesterday (day 12). I think my Dr sucked/pressed out the tumescent while I was still under general because I didn't have much to absorb and my tummy had NO sharpie pen marks on it after I unwrapped. She must have rubbed hard before stitching me up! I got the stitches out yesterday. I was my pre op weight for the first week but in week 2' I'm down 9.5 pounds. It'll start getting exciting for you soon! Post pics so we can cheer one another on!

I am waiting for something good to post! Currently nothing that shows a difference. I dont have to have my stitches removed. They are "inside" ones? i think he said. He told me today they put in 4 liters of tumescent and no drainage on my side, so I have to let it absorb. I was preop weight for a couple days after, then up 3 lb or 4 lbs after that, and just back to just below preop weight today. I am day 7? or day 8? I had it done last Monday, the 30th!

Okay, I put on some "PRE" photos. Nothing worth showing on the post yet. Maybe at 2 week mark!

I bet you'll be thrilled when the swelling/fluids dissipate. If he put in 8 pounds of tumescent and you were at your pre-op weight a day or two later, then he must have removed much of those 4 liters during the procedure. Did he say how much actual fat he removed? You look like you were in good shape before this so I'm excited for you to see your little pesky areas disappear! My lower tummy sagged a little bit and my dr said it would sag more afterwards. She recommended a TT but I can't afford the down time. Have you had pregnancies? Does your Dr think that skin will retract? I'm not interested in wearing a bikini or posing for Sport's Illustrated but I'm curious about that.

He said he removed 5.3 L of fat. I have had 3 children, all C-sections. He told me I will have lose skin too, and that a TT would be in order, but I would probably be happy with just "fat free" skin! LOL. He does not really think my skin will retract at my age. I will never wear a bikini either. I am an avid exerciser, but not sure I would say good shape before! LOL. I hope I will be thrilled when its all done, but we will have to see how it turns out!! So you didn't do thighs or anything right? he told he took probably about 2.5 L from the abdomen, flanks, and then about 2.8-3 from the legs!!

How are you feeling? I hope the bruising and swelling went down by now. I'm scheduled for inner thigh and knee lipo. Since reading how difficult the procedure is for inner thighs I'm beginning to get cold feet. How are you feeling about your decision?

Well, the pain is better, but the swelling is pretty much still there, day 8 post op, but I really hated the inner knees, so I am not regretting it yet. :)

Keep us posted on how your healing goes! We'd love to see some progress pics. I think all women can relate to the annoying trouble spots that never seem to go away! Bah!
