I have found that I cant move fat anymore since starting getting healthy 6 years ago. The older I get, the harder it was, so I decided to try Lipo to move some of the more "uncomfortable" fat areas, and see if that would help to be "satisfied" with my appearance. I work out 6 days a week, running, spinning, lifting and turbo kickboxing. Always working on improving the diet (my hardest part) but no amount of exercise would change the "shape" of me. Updated on 7 Apr 2015: So I just got back from my one week checkup, and he says all is going as scheduled. It will take time for the swelling to go down and should give it at least 2 more weeks to see some difference. Scale was back to just about where I was before procedure this morning, after going up the last week, rather than down. He said they also injected 4 liters of fluid into me during the procedure, and since no drainage whatsoever after the procedure, my body has to absorb and rid itself of the extra fluid too. I should see some improvements though in the next couple of weeks. Updated on 7 Apr 2015: Updated on 7 Apr 2015: Here is the one the doctor sent me of the fat they removed! Updated on 9 Apr 2015: This morning, day PO 10 I think, I am finally at least 5.3 lbs under my pre-op weight. The swelling is not as bad as it was, but there are still some hard lumps in my thighs and in my belly. I have been trying to do more massage and I have definitely picked up the walking to get the lymph edema down. I also had started taking Omega 3 and Bromelain as others suggested this would help with the swelling. I will post new photos on the 2 week mark and hopefully I will be able to see a good difference from the pre photos. A few more days and I think I can resume some more exercise and maybe spin or even start back up with weight lifting! Updated on 13 Apr 2015: Well, I guess I can see some changes. I am mostly done with the bruising, still some swelling, and especially in my belly, there is a hard lump, like an orange or so, still working on that. I think my waist is down about 3", belly right now only about 2 or 3" (hard lump there) and the thighs are about 2" I think, around the knees down about 2" (these are rough estimates, as I didn't measurements the very day of lipo, but a few weeks before). I will post 14 day photos and the before and afters together! Updated on 21 Apr 2015: Feel like they can go without wearing the CGs and be comfortable? I am still feeling "weird" and sort in "pain" without it on and I am just 3 weeks out from Lipo. Thought I would see if others still have this feeling. I was told I could not wear it at night after 3 weeks, but I find the blankets kind of hurt my skin, so I am still wearing it there too. Anyone else??
I am 54 with very saggy breasts and lots of excess skin all over my body post a 130 lb weight loss obtained just by better eating. I have a breast lift scheduled. Unlike most posters here, I am not excited. Just nervous and worried this may be a huge mistake. I have disliked my large (post weight loss) droopy breasts all my life. Now they are so floppy and the skin gets pinched and bras are hard to find and fit. But, I can't say I am excited about this surgery which feels like impending doom. Not doom in that I think I will die but doom in the thought of a botch job or a future of nerve pain. Anyone else in this boat? This fearful and anxious as opposed to excited? Updated on 1 Feb 2015: I will post pics eventually. They don't let you update cost. I had to pay more than I posted due to extra time in surgery. I am feeling sad that my left breast is noticeably fuller than the right. I don't think it is just swelling. I think it will be even more noticeable once the swelling goes down. It is obvious even with a shirt on. Just sad. Healing well I think.
