6 Days post op

So i am now one week post op and feeling relativly good guys!
I cannot fault the forme clinic in the slightest, very professional and efficient. I arrived at the clinic at 0730 and by 1000 i was in surgery after all the pre op tests. I had two drains in for 2 days i was in the clinic and removed on the Wednesday when i was discharged. I flew back home to Scotland last Thursday night which again was relatively okay considering i had the surgery on the Monday- I was over in Prague by myself and felt that i needed to be home.

In terms of healing- The clinic gave me several dressing packs on discharge for the wound which i used quickly as my drain sights where leaking fluid heavy (which was warned to me by the surgeon). A very small part of the surgical wound in the centre is open (ever so slightly) and leaking fluid so i am having to dress the wound daily due to the fluid discharge. I am a staff nurse in Scotland so this has helped me in terms of dressing the wound ect and using certain dressing i have at home! I am not concerned about the fluid draining- better that than it building up and needing it to be drained out by the surgeon (Serum Fluid) but this is something i will be monitoring along with my GP in Scotland.

Apart from all the fluid which again is a normal process of healing the wound is looking great and i very very happy with the results.

I have attached a photo which was taken today ( 6 days post op).
Ps The Wound Scar is symmetrical it is just the angle the photo was taken.

Sorry this was a quick type up so any question feel free to ask me!! :)

Im really impressed, it looks nice but it stills scaring me a lot the scar.. I should may require a tummy tuck when i was 17 i was up to 122 KG and at 19 yo i was 69 KG till then my weight had fluctuated between 70 and 75 kg. Im actually 23 yo. with the years my skin has returned to a place that its more or less there my degree of fat i guess its still being high but even with a really strong degree of sports im not able to reduce that fat around the belly and the sides. One time 2 years ago i visited a doctor but i got scared with the scars... even he said me nothing about a tummy tuck he said me that my button is to falled and put things inside... i hate protesis so i will not allow to do this kind of operation tummy tuck instead is to take out something shouldnt be there because of my young obesity. By the way im really interested in ur case i hope u upload more information (i was in prague teh same days holidays) hope u recover fast.
Yes unfortunately scaring is unavoidable when having a tummy tuck. I think you have to way up whether getting a stomach your happier with and having a scar or living with a stomach your unhappy with - only you can make that decision. Everyone heals differently and scars heal different on everyone so it would be hard to say how your scar will look. It is still very early days for me when it comes to scaring- The wound looks neat which i was glad to see however i won't know how my scar will look for months to a year. I will upload photos as i continue to heal .
thank you for your answer :) I read many things about the treatments of a scar, even with laser theerapy of 1540 but even with that im not sure if that is what i want (even with laser the scar looks greater than strech marks). I just published a question to the doctors with some pics of how i am now, to see if they think that theres another option appart of tuummy tuck.
It's early days, but it's amazing what can be done these days..Being a nurse helps and also support from your Doc..In the UK I received nil support from the NHS,when I had my mini tuck in Prague with the Laderma clinic and Cerna..My after care was absolutely horrendous and I had to literally beg her to drain my seroma..which she eventually did after nearly a month. I have since been advised by three surgeons that 1/I will need to have scaring removed ..A hematoma developed and left scaring and 2/ I should have had a full tummy tuck because after having 4 boys,I had diastasis recti, something Cerna being the 'professional' she makes out she is,should have addressed! So I have to have another full tuck in September/Oct after waiting the year. I wish you the very best with the healing x
Amazing! Congratulations buddy... Hope it heals fast for you :-) It was very brave of you to go alone. I'm having Lipo and breast reduction on the 24th of June at Forme with Dr. Krejca... Is he the same Surgeon you had? Saj
When are u going to update some actual process please :) some pics ^^

Hi guys,

Thought I would start a Chat/Review of my upcoming Tummy Tuck at the Forme Clinic in Prague. The procedure is getting carried out this coming monday (25/05/2015). I found reading/speaking to people who have been throw this procedure online helped me so hoping to do the same for others. The procedure is getting carried out by Dr Krej?a.

The Forme Clinic has been great so far, they reply to emails very quickly and answer any questions which you may have.

The reason behind my tummy tuck like many others in weight loss. Iv lost over 8 stone in weight over the past 2 years (current weight: 10st 7lbs) and no matter what exercise/diet I do, the excess skin around my stomach will not budge hence the reason I'm going for the TT. I am a young guy (21 years old) which may seem young for this procedure however after the hard work i put into losing the weight i feel like i deserve to be happy and comfortable in my body.

I have attached several photos of my body which where taken today (21/05/2015) pre op of course for you to see how my stomach currently looks. I will try to keep this updated on my post op progress (how i get on, the clinic etc) and will upload photos for you to see post op results.

Wish me Luck!

Jack :)

Ps Some of the good close up photos i took are too big image size to upload to the website, sorry :(

Thank you for sharing your photos and plans! You have definitely did your part by losing weight and also by maintaining it with exercise. Since you lost weight, the skin on your lower abdomen has lost elasticity which will can never be recovered with exercise. Your only option is to remove the excess skin. But you will soon see the fruits of your effort because under the loose skin, it define abdominal muscle. I think you are making a wonderful life changing experience. I wish you the best in the surgery on Monday and keep us posted on your results.
Good luck Jack, your in good hands, all the best and look forward to your updates.
Thank you!
Hey, Jack... Well done, buddy! I Just saw this. I am heading to Forme too in 3 weeks. How was your experience there? You healing okay?
