3 year update on scar per request. A little wavier than I hoped but I know they follow what the original hairline is like. I never really wear my hair in a headband where it’s noticeable anyways. I think my original hairline was a little wavy because I remember him drawing a “parallel” line to my original hairline. Because the hairline is a little more abrupt instead of the hair being more feathered like at the temples you notice it more. Maybe I’d ask to make it a little less wavy if I could do it over. Especially if I usually wore my hair pulled back tightly.

Did you love it from the start? I'm day 2 out and feel like Herman Munster. I'm so nervous it is too low.

Funny that you’d say that because my kids called me Frankenhead from the start! It’s a big overnight change I’m sure but I bet you’ll quickly get used to it. It probably looks more prominent now due to swelling but when it subsides I’m sure you’ll be pleased! I smile every time a big wind blows my hair back and I don’t feel subconscious:)

Little over two years!

Random update two years later. Gotten awfully used to wearing hair pulled back without a thought. Mornings have gotten soooo much easier not fussing with bangs. No hair loss at all. Scar is a little thick but not noticeable. I can just feel it. I should have used a derma roller on it but got a little lazy and it doesn’t feel that great when I try.

15 month update

karhei
Just a quick 15 month update. This procedure gave a lot of bang for the buck. Mornings are so much easier cuz hair is less fussy without bangs, exercise outdoors more due to not caring about wind blowing back my hair, bought a paddle board and don’t care if I get wet, sleep later in the morning cuz dry shampoo works better when you don’t have to use 10# hairspray, and the list goes on. Best $7500 I ever spent. Never thought I’d wear my hair with the bangs pinned back.

I'm 50 and planning a lower facelift and brow lift. Does the forehead reduction pull your brows up at all? I so want to do this. I'm tired of bangs.

Hard to answer this because I’ve never just had one and not the other. He lowered the forehead about an inch and did the brow lift mainly in the middle so the brows don’t won’t up at all. I was getting forehead wrinkles and the vertical wrinkle between the eyes so he released the muscles to smooth the wrinkles. It helped about 50% so it was worth it. I don’t look so ticked off anymore! Hahaha.

That's my problem, I look angry when I'm not smiling, and probably psychotic when I do at this point. I have a high forehead so I'm thinking of doing the reduction.

The combination may be the ticket for you then! I was amazed he didn’t charge me more since I basically had two procedures. Dr Sidle only does facial surgery. Highly recommend him.

You had such a better experience than me. I wet through hell with mine. Horrible hair loss and noticeable scars, if I were to do it all over again, I probably just lower my hairline by a hair transplant. I had to spend thousands anyway to get some if my hair back. It's been awful!
