Almost a year!
WORTH IT$10,250
Would I do it again? Yes, I still have a lighter scar, but it’s only noticeable when my hair is pulled back tighter which I hardly ever do anymore anyway. If I do a tighter ponytail I smudge a little black liner on it to blend with my hair.. I still don’t use any scar creams I wasn’t consistent enough. I have full feeling back in my scalp and the scar is only tender when I bump it hard. It definitely felt weird to pull my hair back after so long and gave me a slight headache because my hair is heavy so I have to get used to it again. If you’re worried about people noticing, nobody could tell, not even my mom and siblings I hadn’t seen in 4 months they just knew I looked different/better. IMO best thing you can do is find the best surgeon. Dr. Richardson is literally the best at it!

Better pics
More pictures with better lighting. One month and two days out! I did have an ingrown hair scar but it’s healing great. Only using vitamin e oil nightly and not wearing my hair back. Mostly down or to the sides in low buns

Results look great! Do you mind sharing how much he was able to lower it?
Thanks! I believe it was 2.5 cm.
Wow that's perfect. You can't see any scar or anything. Looks totally natural and beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I can definitely see it because I know, but it’s definitely not super visible or noticeable. My mom still hasn’t noticed lol!
what is ur post op care routine??? i'm the same complexion and i'm terrified of scarring, yours looks amazing.
Thank you!! I did everything they said. I only used vitamin e oil (still do) no scar creams and vaseline occasionally after my first two weeks. Very loose hair styles no pulling for about a month. Slept sitting up on my back the whole first week and still try to. It’s now going on three months and it still looks good, but I’m noticing it a bit more maybe because I started wearing ponytails idk.. I’ll post more pics soon. I definitely think it’s going to be based on how your body scars not just skin color. I get more hyperpigmentation when I scar, so so far I have not gotten a white scar line or raised keloid type scar. Hair is growing through, but not as much as I would like on the sides so far. Hope this helps! I was the same, but I just had in my mind I was willing and ready to treat and adapt to a scar if needed be.
what is a ingrown hair scar?
It was almost like a pimple scar, but it faded. I’m assuming the hair came out it’s no longer there.
Please please I need your help How is your results looks after this years I want to have the operation and I am very worried about the scar Can you update how the scar looked after the years? Do you advise me to do this operation or not?
I posted an update I’m just under a year from my surgery date. Good luck to you!

So Far So Good! Glad I Did It!
It’s bee A month since my surgery and so far I’m really happy with the results! My scar is hardly noticeable, but it’s definitely still healing. The hardest part about the surgery for me was taking care of my hair after. I have very curly thick long hair so I had to section it off during my after care to make it easier to do. Dr. Richardson was very kind and straightforward! The staff was amazing and made me feel so comfortable. Overall experience was extremely professional and positive I would definitely recommend and go to him for this surgery all over again!

Thank you for sharing, your results look amazing! Are you doing anything to help minimize the appearance of scarring?
Thanks! I’m keeping all my hair styles very loose or just to the sides not pulled back and vitamin E oil every night.
Great results!! Did you have a lot of swelling? How long did it take for you to be comfortable going out ?
Thank you! I did have some but it wasn’t bad the rippled forehead was the most noticeable swelling which was fading and completely gone after two weeks. I was comfortable going out after a week. I used a light headband or nothing sometimes cause I didn’t want anything on it. Nobody noticed at all. I’d say it just felt like a wig at first to me. Also I slept propped to sit up for the first week. Neck pillow was a life saver.
How much the cost?
