WORTH IT
I’m 22 months post surgery now and swelling has gone down substantially, I’m back to being able to do everything I was able to before the surgery. I love being able to shop for shoes now that I can find them in my size. The recovery was tough due to the swelling, although it was definitely worth it.

First let me start by saying that FOOT SHORTENING SURGERY IS POSSBLE and that Dr Ali Sadrieh and his staff at EVO Advanced Foot Surgery are amazing. I’ve had many gender affirming surgeries i.e. FFS, BA, VFS, SRS, Butt & Hip Implants and FSS (Foot Shortening Surgery) and out of all of them, this was by far the best surgical experience. Dr Sadrieh understands the challenges that his patients with gender dysphoria struggle with and against popular opinion within podiatric medicine, he has pioneered a foot reduction procedure that consists of toe and metatarsal shortening. Prior to my surgery my shoe size was a women’s size 12 and now I’m a women’s 9.5, a full inch shorter.
I only share this because my experience was challenging in that I had significant dysphoria with the size of my feet and couldn’t find any resources more than toe shortening on the internet. I also had multiple consultations with foot surgeons which lead nowhere until I met Dr Ali Sadrieh.

Can you give us an update? Are they less swollen now?
I honestly related so much to your post and it just made me so happy that I came across it and that there is such a thing

Yes, the swelling has gone down a lot. The recovery was tough due to the swelling, although it was definitely worth it.
