hi I am 58 year old hoping to have implants in the nex few months I am 5'3 1/2 and weight 120. I know I am older than a lot of you on this forum but this is something I have wanted for many years but financial circumstances has stopped me. My husband and I have discussed it and I am going forward I have a consultation on September 1st and know what Surgeon I am going with I would like to have it done the first part of October and I know it's closer than it sounds. I am not comfortable putting picture on yet. But I look everyday and keep up with some wonderful stories that are really helping me I am a very small B and want to look natural full C so I will find out soon how many cc's I am going to need. My hard decision now is if I want tear drop or round any suggestions? Well this is all I am writing for now and see if I get any replies. This site is fantastic

I am 57 5'2 and 100 lbs and going in 10/8. I also finally doing it after wanted it all my life. I am going with round 361 cc silicone. My doctor ordered 350 361 and 371 and let me make my final decision on the size the day of surgery. Ask this question on your interviews. I interviewed 5 doctors before i made my decision. I am so glad i did. Each one was very different. This is your body and money do not do short cuts.

Hey Hon,
you and I are a lot alike. I am 58, 5'3" 120 lbs and just got mine on 9/18.
I had to have a lift as well as BA since my poor things were too droopy for implants alone.
I found the exact bra they give you when you are released from surgery. JC Penny carries them . Glamorise #1803 front closure. I have ordered 2 of these. I tried to buy sport bras, but at this stage I am still too swollen for the super-tight fit of a sport bra. The Glamorise is a silky smooth and very stretchy thing that supports well. It works well under clothing without adding bulk.
Get yourself some soft comfy front open PJs and some front open shirts. I swear by Dermend bruise cream and Mederma scar cream. I used Mederma for knee surgery a few years ago and cant even find the scar now without looking hard for it.
Get that wedge pillow. Walmart - 19.99

i just want to say I can't stop thinking about my big day. I am constantly on real self reading reviews now I am getting really nervous about sizes won't know until next week on what I will be able to get I hope at least 350. I think I am going through boob greed right now before I didn't want to go too big and now I am worried about being too small because I am a very small frame. I will be posting a before picture very soon. I just wanted to say I am waiting for my big day. And good luck everyone

Just re-iterate to your PS beforehand on the day of surgery what you want. Explain how you want to be proportioned. I too, was uncertain. He said he felt 350cc was good for my frame and ended up giving me 345.
You are small framed. You will probably want high profile, not moderate. Moderate gives more side boob and works beautifully on ladies with full curvy figure. If you have nice hips, they could work for you.

thank you no I don't have large hips anymore but I do like the look of a little side boob but it may be too much for me

I got high profile and I can see they do add a little 'width' but not out of line with my frame.
Your PS will actually make that decision for you based on your frame. But do let him/her know what you would like for end result. And keep in mind it will not look like your vision for about 4-6 months when they finally drop

I will make sure of that. I am pretty prepared that it won't be the best for at least 6 months I am learning so much from this forum. Thank you for your input

I know what you mean. I really need the support too. It is nice to have this place to 'talk' to other girls about what is happening, how you feel, and what to expect. I can tell you - without this place to go, it would have been hard to go through, and maybe wouldn't have happened for me at all! Just keep posting and looking for replies, cuz we are all here for each other!
I was so worried about how different I would look and how do I go back to work and face people I have worked with 31+ years! Now I see that it is not noticeable. The breasts ride so high with new implants, so you don't have that 'projected' look you are worried abut. And you will keep them compressed in the sport/compression bras for several months. You will see - it is ok and you will love it. Only 5th day for me and I can tell you I am LOVING the new me!!!

This is so encouraging for me and I know by next Monday I am really going to need the support of all of you I have only told a couple of my friends my family except my daughter and husband know I really don't want to tell my sons but if they were to ever ask I would probably tell them. My sisters would be to judge mental and say why would you spend your money on that. And they both gamble and loose money all the time but I will just keep coming on here for my support and my husband is great I am sure he will be happy with my end results. You are looking great and it looks like your bruising is getting much better
I am so glad you can finally get this surgery for yourself! Here is a forum just for you: Women in their 50's getting breast implants. Also, you might enjoy meeting some other members on this October 2015 breast augmentation forum. Good luck and hoping you will update us often!
Sounds good...and feel free to post any wish boob and/or pre op pictures that you are comfortable posting. ;)
