I am almost 2 weeks out and I'm so so happy with my results! They have settled in so nicely, and the swelling seems to be completely gone. I can't say enough good things about Dr Sanderson at Flower Mound Plastic Surgery! My results are just fantastic! I will try and get some better pics soon.

Hi,
What size implants did you get for each lip? They look great and I just want to know exactly what size to go with for myself.

Never mind I read in a comment 5 up top 4 on bottom

Hi, I saw when you were asking for advice from other doctors on which size to go, one doctor didn't think your upper lip was large enough to accommodate the 5.
What made you decide to go ahead with the 5? (I am facing the same issue) Thanks!

I just talked it over with my Dr who was going to be doing the surgery and he felt I would be fine with the 5mm if that is what I wanted. I'm glad I ended up going with the 5!

Lovely results!! Can I ask... Did the line above your lip go away? In this update it def looks smaller than your earlier post... Has it changed since? I ask only as I think I have a similar gap between nose and lip (quite small?) and it's a thing that's worrying me. Thanks for all the info!!

Well, it has been a rollercoaster over the last few days, but I know once the swelling is all gone I will love them. The upper lip swelling has gone down significantly. It is still more swollen on the left side, and I still have some residual bruising but makeup covers it up well! I think about 4-5 days off work is plenty adequate to get enough healing so you don't feel like a freak, and figure out how to talk again. Ps and Fs are difficult and I couldn't whistle to save my life. I definitely can feel the implants in my lips and to the touch and I hope they soften up and don't stay so obvious feeling. If you are considering getting your lips done, remember to be patient!! I have had a few freak outs and then remind myself I'm only 5 days out.

Do you feel like the line above your lip is fading? In regards to the healing process...was there a lot of peeling?
August 5, 2016
I didn't have a ton of peeling, but there was some. I kept my lips coated in Arnica cream at first and then used some stuff called Egyptian Cream that I got a while ago in a burchbox. I still have a line above my lip when I smile, and I'm not super thrilled with that, but I think due to how thin my upper lip was and me getting the 5mm that is just part of it.

I’m just curious if you ever got the line to go away above your lip? I had the same thing end up happening and had to get them removed. :(

I missed updating yesterday. My lips were looking great and the swelling was down by a lot. There was still no bruising! I was tired of being cooped up inside, so I went to see a movie with my sister. It was very funny and there was lots of smiling and laughing which really aggravated my upper lip. I woke up so this morning with lots of swelling and it is now quite bruised. I'm a little concerned that my upper lip seems quite lopsided, but I'm sure it will turn out fine.
