Hey guys! So, I just booked my surgery date for my Brazilian butt lift for April 11, 2018 with Dr Velilla in Miramar, FL. Getting a full 360lipo with fat transfer to the glutes. I have been contemplating getting this surgery for over a year and have looked up more before and after photos than I could possibly count. I am looking for a thin waist and a bit of a bigger, rounder shaped booty. My biggest concern is that it will be too big for me, as I am wanting more of a natural look. I'm going to put it in the doctors hands and rock whatever outcome I get. I'll add before photos later on and after photos all throughout my healing process. :)

Getting closer! Went for blood work and pre op with Dr Velilla!

Hey guys! So it's finally getting closer to the date. I'm about two weeks away from surgery! I went for blood work on the 26th and then back for pre op today, the 28th. Blood work was uneventful. Just went, waited, took blood and that was it. I didn't see my consultant or Dr or anything, just the nurse drawing blood. I figured it would be like that. But today when I went, I met with a nurse and was asked a bunch of medical questions about allergies, family history, smoking, drinking, recreational drugs etc. Took vital signs. Was advised that my blood work came back normal. Was given all my prescriptions to be filled before surgery day. Saw the nurse practitioner and was honest about smoking marijuana and the nurse practitioner said its okay, but she wants me to stop for the next two weeks before my surgery and she advises patients to stop at least a month before if possible. They do a drug test the morning of. I was given all of my instructions for pre op and post op care. They put me on iron(even though iron levels were normal) for preventative, gave me scripts for Lorazepam and Vicodin, iron, ibuprofen 600mg, and Keflex. I am to take the iron starting now 3xday. I am to start the Keflex the night before.(instructions are provided). If going under local anesthesia you can eat a light breakfast but general you cannot eat after 12am.(I'm doing local). Anyway there is more details but I wont bore anyone so if you want to know more specifics on the list of things you should have and specifics on when pre op and lymphatic massages should be etc, just let me know!!! Ill be glad to share! So next after that, I went into Dr Velillas office and he was very nice. He looked at my body and looked at my wish pics and said what I was asking was realistic. BRING YOUR WISH PICS TO PRE OP AND ON THE ACTUAL SURGERY DATE!! The Dr. sees a lot of people so bring it the day of surgery as well to keep with him, so he can look at them during your surgery. Also, forewarning he warned me that being under local can still be very painful. He pinched my stomach to show me what putting the anesthesia in would feel like and after that it would be numb. So the first 30 minutes would be painful. He said if I cannot tolerate that, than I should opt for general. Well lets just say it hurt! But I am a tough girl and I don't want to hack up another grand, so I told him I'm going to grit and bare it. So far I still have a couple things to get before surgery, plus I need to clean my house and food shop. I'm excited!!!! Much love guys!!! <3

Got it done!!!!

Okay, so it finally over. I went to Dr Velilla yesterday morning and got it done under local anesthetic. I got to the office and was instructed to take two Vicodin and one 2mg Lorazepam. All my worries went away. I got onto the surgery bed and was given something through my IV. I felt them working on my stomach and back but no real pain just uncomfortable. So fast forward and I wake up on the same bed with my nurse sitting by me but no one working on me. I was still loopy but couldn’t get comfortable. She said they haven’t done your butt yet because they are waiting for the anesthesia to kick in. It felt like forever that I was waiting. As soon as they started on my butt, it was pure torture. I mean that whole heartedly. I couldn’t slow my breathing because of the pain, I was bawling my eyes out. I’ve always thought I’ve had a high pain tolerance but there was no fighting this. It was excruciating. The nurse sitting by my head was very sweet and was rubbing my hand and helping me to breathe. Local anesthesia is different for everyone. I’m not sure why it was fine with my mid section but not my butt. Coming home was fine but once I woke back up a couple hours later, I was shivering and nauseous. It was awful. I woke up around 1230am feeling better though. I walked around, drank pineapple juice etc. Thank god Ive had my boyfriend to be amazing to me. Today is better. I’m sore and I’m draining all over the place but still so much better than yesterday. I’m posting my embarrassing before pics and posting my after pics in like an hour. I’m happy with the results so far. Going to my post op and massage in an hour. Xo

Thanks for the review on your experience with local anesthesia. I am considering that and seeing Dr Velilla for Lipo360.
