Benelli Lift.... My Experience and 2 Years Later , my Feelings About It - Tampa, FL.

I previously already had saline implants (325 cc, under the muscle) that were about 10 years old when I decided to have them redone. I was 29 years old, no kids and really had no major issues with my saline implants. I did however want to be bigger and wanted to get the new silicone implants, now that they were FDA approved. This time around I went to a different doctor in my hometown instead of the dr. who did my first breast augmentation ( first dr. was a fake). My left breast sort of sagged down over my implant and my areola's were always larger than the "normal" women's. My new dr. agreeded that I could use a little lift but he did warn me since I was going with a larger implant (600 cc) my areola's could return to a larger size. I took the chance and went through with the Benelli lift and implant exchange. My whole life I have been never one to experience pain and my first augmentation didnt hurt at all. So, I just figured this next time around wouldn't be a problem and honestly, I was so excited to get new, bigger boobies and small areola's, I didn't research what a benelli lift was. My dr. explained my surgery but like I said earlier, I was way to excited! Day of surgery and surgery went great!! I woke up in no pain and when I finally felt no more effects of the anesthesia, I took a look down at my new boobies. OMG!!! I wasn't prepared for what I saw. I already was bruising all around my breasts and the bruises started making their way down to my ribs. My areola's definitely were smaller, very small. They looked like I had a drawstring around them and someone pulled them very tight to make them smaller. My stitches were internal and would later disappear with time. I also, had surgical glue ( reminded me of super glue) all around the outside of my areola's. I felt no pain for about 2 days, I wasn't even taking pain pills. My chest felt very tight and I walked sorta hunched over because I was afraid if I stood up straight my stiches and glue would pop off, along with my areola's. Lol. My bruising got worse and worse. I would say I was bruised for about 6-8 weeks. I found that Arnica pills and gel speeded up the healing of my bruises. The 3rd day is when I really started feeling the pain of my lift. But it wasn't unbearable and my dr. advised me to take a pain pill at night so I could relax my chest muscles and not over work them. That did help me and I was noticing I wasn't relaxing my chest at all. A week later I finally started to feel my internal stiches start to come undone. One day, I sware I could hear one make a popping sound. The glue was wearing off and my areola's were looking like a horror film. This is perfectly normal. Every single day when I woke up I would notice they took on different looks. One day they were lop sided, the next they would be take on different shapes and sizes. It was a constant surprise. Once my new implants started dropping down, my stitches seemed to start "popping" more. This is when I finally could see the size and shape of my new implants. And wow, I was alot bigger. It took about 2 months for all my stiches and glue to be gone. My scars are sorta crooked, this is my fault. I picked off the glue at times because it itched so much. So don't do that at all!! It leaves more scars than u should have. A year later I started feeling sensation back in my nipples. Now 2 years later I feel everything and when it is cold, I feel that 10000 times more. My scars faded and my implants look great. I do feel that maybe the size of my areola's went back to my original size before surgery. So when I am asked if the lift was worth it, I am undecided. I wonder at times if I didn't have the Benelli lift, if I would have the same results. All in all, I didn't have a bad experience. The pain was tolerable. The recovery wasn't easy and at times very itchy, when I was healing. I wish I still had my photos but I lost my cell .
