8 wks post. Question for vets.
I'm at 8 weeks. Dr. Salama recommends going to the waist shaper at this point but it feels so weird. I'm scared I'll get a lump if I come out of this full body compression. What did everyone else do?

I'm only 5 weeks post-op but when I spoke to Dr Salama he recommended staying in the garment for 6 months to a year. He told me the longer I stay in my garment the better my results will be.
I think the instructions say we can switch to the waiste trainer at 8 weeks because he's worried if patients hate the garment they won't wear anything at all by that point.
And you're right about the swelling causing lumps because the immune cells that make up the swelling form scar tissue. They are trying to heal your body. But extended swelling leads to massive scar tissue that look and feel like lumps. So I'm staying in my garment and putting the waiste trainer over it for as long as I can stand it. Good luck!

Ahh good points. Yeah I'm still it in. The waist trainer just doesn't feel like enough. Thank you love.
Okay your post just freaked me out bc that is what I've been worried about! I'm planning on getting bbl but I have hashimoto's disease (autoimmune disease that attacks thyroid) so I've wondered if I'll get scar tissue due to overactive immune system
Have you asked Dr Salama about it? I agree that is something to take into serious consideration. Maybe you should also talk to the doctor that treats you for this condition.
I think the scar tissue buildup can be lessened by a certain degree by massaging but that would suck to end up with lumpy stomach for sure

I'm not a vet but my doc says it's never too early to waist train. I've been wearing a waist trainer over my garment and i'm only three weeks post-op. It's helping to shrink my waist and also with the swelling. The trainer i'm using is a latex one so it doesn't leave any indentation or anything like that on my skin.
Thank you. What brand if you don't mind me asking?
I bought it from a store called "Ska Studio" so it's their brand (colombian)
Thank you
