After many years of debating a tummy tuck I have finally committed to getting it done. I am 29 years old and a proud mama to 3 amazing babies. I love my kids with all I have but nothing prepared me for the war wounds my body experienced in my pregnancies and birth. Now that my family is complete and my body has retired the business of pregnancy and birth I can finally work on restoring it.
I am 5’4” and was 115lbs pre pregnancy. I now fluctuate between 125 and 130 lbs. I gained 50lbs with my first, 40lbs with my second and 35lbs with my third. I have plenty of stretch marks (hereditary) and a distorted – non- existent belly button. I am thrilled at the idea of have a small cute belly button again.
My tummy tuck is scheduled for Friday, March 30th. I am taking 6 days off of work which will give me a total of 10 days for recovery with the weekends included. I’m still nervous but trying to focus on the positives rather than the negatives and risks that come with this procedure. I’ll be sure to update everyone on the progress as my surgery date gets closer. Good thoughts, Positive Vibes and Prayers will be well received. ?

I woke up in the recovery room with a lot of pain and very nauseous. It took everything inside of me to not throw up because I knew it would be the worst pain of my life. I always get sick with any type of narcotic pain medicine. This was something that I emphasized to my PS, nurse and anesthesiologist so they gave me more some anti-nausea medication...wish I would have had more to start with. Car ride home was rough as any movement made me sick. Once home, I went right to bed. I took my next dosage of medication a few hours later which consisted of (Vicodin-Pain relief, Cephalexin-Antibiotic, Promethazine-Antinausea and Diazepam-Muscle relxer). I pretty much stayed in bed all day and only got up to use the bathroom. I had chicken broth and a little bit of french bread. Getting in and out of bed was NO fun at all.

I am able to move around some more today. Though, getting in and out of bed is still difficult. My PS gave me the green light to shower tomorrow. I am definitely looking forward to it. I still can't believe I actually did it...after so many years of talking about it. I haven't see my new tummy so I'm a little nervous. I had brown rice and veggies for lunch and dinner I am hoping that will help with the constipation. My overall emotional state is stable. Though, I'm sure that will change once I see my incision. I have 3 kids at home (12, 5 and 10mo) so it will be a challenging week. Hubby and mom have so good to me. They have helped me with everything (taking care and feeding kids and me!) I am so blessed. Well, I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as I am able to.
