Week 3... sore and swelling

dtinab
WORTH IT$12,000
I am actually 3 weeks out today, I wrote an update last week but forgot to post it until today ????. This week has been a little more challenging, a little more pain (tolerable with ibuprofen) and swelling. I tried to go back to work 3-4 hours a day (cosmetologist) this week but I find i am swelling a lot from being on my feet so I am cutting back to 2-3 hours per day (I have amazing clients). I will see the surgeon next week for pictures and to check up on my progress!

How are you feeling? Loving your results? I am almost 3 weeks out. Just curious what your results are at this point and if you feel back to normal. Would love to see some updated pics!

Hi! I am very happy with my results!! Towards the end of week 3 I went back to work for short periods of time, about 3-4 hours. (I am a stylist). I really started swelling from being up and around. at 4 weeks I had a follow up with the surgeon. Everything was healing well so he told me to discontinue eating my binder. I had few sore days after that. I have seen continual improvement. I am at 9 weeks now and my swelling is almost gone and the lumpiness in my flanks where my lipo was is really starting to smooth out. My only complaint is the size and placement of my bell button. Mine was a lot lower and very small. it has gotten better since the swelling has gone down. My surgeon offered to do a revision to it and my sides where the end of my scars protrude a bit. I will be making an appointment soon for those! I hope you are healing well and are happy with your results! I will post some pictures tomorrow!

2 weeks out!

dtinab
I am two weeks out from surgery and feeling pretty great! I am only taking ibuprofen periodically for any discomfort but generally I only take my daily vitamin regimen and collagen to encourage healing.
The only discomfort I really have are on my hips where the drain tubes were. I am religiously applying the scar cream 3 times a day and massaging the lipo areas that are still lumpy. I am also wearing my binder (because my mean nurse-husband) gets on me if I take it off! I am getting a little stir crazy around the house and I have a few outings planned for the rest of the week, so I am excited to get out a bit. We have had over 8 inches of snow and expecting more so taking it careful outside. Looking forward to my next check up where they will take photos to compare to the before pictures!

Drain tubes out!

dtinab
I am feeling much better from the flu symptoms! Went to the Dr today and had the stitches and drain tubes removed! Feels great! Still have some lumpiness from the Lipo and have scar cream to apply twice daily. I go back in 3 weeks for a follow up! Will post some pics soon!
