WORTH IT

I am getting a tattoo removed at the moment,it is not making me depressed or stressed in anyway......I simply just do not like it anymore.
It's a very nice in its own way,it's just I've had it for nearly 23 years and it does not suit me.
I liked the guy that did it and we worked together to design it,people still complimented me on how they liked it but when I looked at my self in photos I cringed at it and that feeling grew for about the last 10 years.
What took me so long is it's a armband and has the dreaded blue and colours that are most difficult to remove.
So far I have had 4 sessions and will try to show a few photos.

Thanks for joining in and sharing your journey with us. I wanted to wish you well on your removal and I hope that you find lots of support here. What’s the #1 piece of advice you would give to someone considering removing a tattoo?

July 7, 2016
Hi Eva.Can I just say this site has been so helpful to me and it's good to hear and see everyone's different story's and results.
If I had to give people advice it would be to follow good aftercare between treatments.
It's important to let the skin heal and not rush it,as the end goal is to have removal with as little scarring as possible.
I have three children and I covered it with bandage to hide it from the them the first few times but it can pull off the treated skin and cause infection.
I have a few small scars from that, make sure it's the right dressing.
After a couple of weeks of healing,I use scar serum and bio oil between treatments and tea tree and witch hazel.
I am waiting a extra 8 weeks between treatments this time as the skin has taken a little longer to seem ready.
It's about focusing on the end result. : )

How's it coming along? Urs is colorful like mine and I'm about to start my journey... What kind of laser did the use??
July 13, 2016
Hi.the studio where I go use a Q switch laser.
I am about to go for my 5th treatment next week.
(Will post pictures)
Judging from other people story's,on this site bright designs take a long time to remove.
It is a colourful arm piece.....unfortunately I made it worse for myself and had the colour redone after 10 years.
I thought that a refresh would make me like it again but I've just given myself more work.
The orange, red and black are starting to fade a lot more than the blue and purple.
It is worrying me that these colours will not be removed as my other option is a cover up and they can be dark and bulky.
What tattoo have you got? Depending on the colours you have, laser treatment has excellent results, have you had your first treatment?

Stubborn.......Blue

gt1976
Hello.its 2 weeks since I have had my 5th treatment so it is still in the fading process.
I am pleased with how the black outline and red/orange have lifted but the purple and blue are being stubborn.
The tattooist has recommended that I start to consider cover up ideas??
They are still saying some of the skin pigmentation is changing?
That it will possibly need to be covered and it will have to be dark and big or colourful to do a good cover up but I do not want that..!!
Not sure what to do now?
Willing to get a cover up if all else fails but like pale shading and subtle colours.?
Feeling quite disappointed and unsure what to do next??

Hey:) Your Tattoo removal Looks realy good!
Don't think that just because the q Switch doesn't remove the Blue of your Tattoo it's impossible at all. There are Other Kinds of Laser that Can solve your Problem. I'm Not sure, but i think the Picosure is pretty good for the Blue ink!
So please, don't get a Cover Up tattoo if you actualy doesn't want it! Guess that will make you as unhappy as before. I think there is no Laser which is good in removing Every Color. So don't give Up! :)

Thank you,it has faded a lot just not as much as I would have liked?
I would like to not have to get a cover up,as they are always big and bold.
Also I am training to work with children and have been getting all my new tattoos on my ribs and back so they are not on show. Will look into pico treatment in my area.

I had blue in my tattoo and picosure took most of it out.

That is so good to hear,it gives me hope. : )
Do you have photos of your results on here?

You should definitely try the Picosure on the blue before covering up. There are plenty of places in the UK that use it. You may only need one session to clear the blue. Good luck!

Thanks I will take a look into getting picosure?

Hi! I've seen a lot of reviews up here that show blue and purple coming out very easily with the picosure! Your tattoo is already very faded, looks great! I'm sure you could go much lighter and hopefully not need a big dark cover up

16 weeks since 6th treatment

I am happy with the way it has faded but have left it longer between treatments as it was hard too see if the tattoo had scarred in places or just the faded.
I am going for another treatment in a few weeks.
Thinking I might need to have a cover up still.?

I think your more at the halfway mark...realistically 10-12 treatments and 2-3yrs is whathe a company suggests for expectations for realistic results. Why cover it up now?

I think you should keep going with removal.. space the treatments apart to give your body more time to heal and be patient (it's what I've learned from reading others reviews) soon I will embark in this journey myself I still have to decide on the laser and provider.

I think you've got good results so far... had you any scar tissue before getting your tattoo removed?
September 16, 2017
Your tattoo has faded greatly in 6 treatments! How many weeks in between sessions? Do you know which type of laser was used? The black broke up really nicely
