Female Hair Transplant Number 2

I had a hair transplant 3-4 years ago in India. They took a strip of scalp and pulled the skin back together. Then placed the hair units in prepared holes.

I did between 1000 - 1500. I believe they did a good job. Except for the units being too uniform, and sticking straight up in the front hairline, and lack of small units to create a natural look.

Now, fast forward to my new transplant. They used the pen method. They have to shave the back of the head and pull the hair units from your scalp, flip you over and put them in the area that needs the hair. Of course it’s deadened with shots that numb your head, but none the less uncomfortable. I am only about 20 days out of the procedure, so I can’t tell you about the final results yet. But, I can tell you the healing process is different. Although the old method of stripping the scalp sounds scary, I didn’t have to have the removal of 1000 hair units from my skull and deal with the jabs in the front too. In addition the shaving and healing from the back. So, my head is still pretty pretty sore, and itchy. I wasn’t given anything for this discomfort I am using a pain relieving cream with Lidocaine to help me with the discomfort.
