Female FUT Hair Transplant
Last year I decided to undergo an FUT hair transplant. I will be sharing my story in detail with further posts. So far it hasn't been a positive experience and I am looking to get this repaired. The reason that I am creating this review is to help anyone similar to me (women born with high hairline) of the risks of this procedure e.g scarring, cobble stoning etc.
Female Hair Transplant
I was born with a very high hairline and this heavily affected my confidence and social life. I was always hiding behind something to cover it up so at 21, I decided to do something about it, having saved for a significant amount of time. I researched my options: FUE, FUT and hairline advancement. I was initially swaying towards hairline advancement but the possibility of a scar and horror stories (forehead indentations and non symmetrical eyebrows) put me off. Looking back, this option however, would mean I wouldn't have to wait roughy 2 and a half years for my hair to grow back after FUT. I ended up choosing FUT and was initially drawn to visiting Dr. Diep in San Fransisco but I felt as though it was safer to go somewhere in the UK. Believing I chose a safer and smoother option, I had a consultation where my hairline was drawn and the doctor talked about all the pros and cons of the procedure. (Will continue in next post)
