So, I took a risk that I don't normally take. I...

So, I took a risk that I don't normally take. I not only paid thousands, but I agreed to a procedure that I was totally skeptical about. For one reason or another, I was compelled to trust Dr Dickerson's opinion that I did not need a 'surgical corset' or partial amputation of my neck. Over the years, I have been very unhappy with the contours of my jaw and my submittal fullness. Admittedly, though improved, even at 110 lbs, my neck was an insecurity of mine. So I did it! I will update you on my experience with ThermiTight as time goes on. I am almost 3 weeks into the healing process but I will backtrack and then continue my review thereafter. Day 1; I was given Halcion, pre-procedure. By the time the local anesthetic was injected in my chin and jaw area....well, I don't remember anything from that point on into the next morning. I am told that I was quite chatty (and forgetful). Day two: I felt quite comfortable. I did not need any of the narcotics that I was prescribed, though considerably swollen. I received a call from Dr Dickerson's staff quite early that morning to check on me. I clarified the instructions to wear my compression for the first 72 hours and then nightly for the remainder of the week. The bruising seemed to get darker over the first 3 days. Fast forward; by day 7, I was comfortable. No one could really appreciate the swelling but me. The procedure site was still quite tender. I noticed decreased sensation in the jaw and submittal areas- I could feel pressure, but I don't think I was sensitive to heat and cold...or touch, for that matter. By day 14. The area feels tighter, but it looks the same. I can't tell for myself, any visible bruising or swelling. My jaw and chin and proximal neck are tender to the touch (bruised feeling). Sensation is improving...but I still can't appreciate touch as well as normal. I'm feeling disappointed, and definitely ready for my 2 week follow up. Dr Dickerson reassured me that I "look great!". Well, I'm already invested now, right?? He advises me to follow up in 2 addtional weeks. 18 days post procedure; while the area beneath my jaw from my chin to my neck feels quite bumpy (still swollen areas), it is not visible. Am I imagining things?? I think I can clearly see the contours of my jawline. My skin is tighter just under my chin (under the bone part to about 3/4 inch proximally) but then, otherwise, there is still that slope from my chin to my neck that I wanted so much to get rid of. I have 12 more days until my 1 month follow up. Apparently, A lot can happen in 12 days. I am not unhappy. I am quite optimistic, actually. I will see about posting photos!!

Dr Dickerson and his staff were very kind, caring, patient, and quite efficient. Overall pleasant experience doing business with them. You will find videos of Dr Dickerson if you google TermiTight. They are also quite helpful. He is in person, very much like what you see in the videos.
