A waste
Go to PT for pelvic floor and get true reconstructive surgery. This didn’t work for me but it takes a series of three and then it still only lasts about a year or so.
No difference
I found out by consulting with a doctor in Davis, California who is featured on Real Self that this procedure is temporary. You are tightening skin and by doing so, at the top of the vagina, you can improve urinary incontinence but again it is temporary . Additionally, the procedure has to be done in a series of three spaced, ideally, six weeks apart. Obviously this can get expensive. The only way to correct the problem is surgically and the doctor in Davis is a pioneer in this area. There is also another doctor in Laguna Beach area. Dr. Goodman in Davis is who I consulted with. Look him up on this site and watch his videos where he explains the hype surrounding all things that claim "vaginal rejuvenation". I am not spending anymore on this. And FYI, FemTouch and Mona Lisa are the same thing just different branding.
So far I can tell you that I didn't have any...
So far I can tell you that I didn't have any discomfort during or after the procedure but now it is day 4 and I have a yeast infection. I have had one in the last six years and I did NOT have one before this procedure in the days leading up to it. In fact, I had a pap smear and pelvic exam the week before. I am very familiar with yeast because as a young adult...almost ten years ago I had recurring yeast infections that nobody could seem to help me with. I saw a specialist ob/gyn where I am, a California naturopath and a very well known naturopath in Arizona who specializes in women's health. The California naturopath told me that she had tried everything and that having a child would probably resolve it. She was right. I had a yeast infection during almost the entire pregnancy that I chose not to treat b/c I had developed a resistance to OTC creams and did not want to develop a resistance to the prescription creams. After the birth 6 years ago I didn't have a yeast infection until about two years ago. I did try everything: OTC creams, prescription creams, blood and hormone tests, naturopathic supplements, strict diet, boron suppositories, coconut oil and organic lavendar oil suppositories, hydrogen peroxide douches, probiotic suppositories I ordered online from a provider, tampons soaked in Bio-K, diflucan, ozonated oil applied vaginally, ozone steam cabinet, oil of oregano.. NONE of that worked except having a baby. I am EXTREMELY worried that Fem Touch may have altered my flora and may trigger recurrent yeast infections. The psychological stress of having endured 10-15 yeast infections a year in the past is bringing back a lot of bad feelings. Tonight I soaked in a tub of ACV, baking soda and applied topically coconut oil (relieves itching) and I am praying this goes away. I don't appreciate the docs in the Q&A section stating that it is impossible for Fem Touch to do this. ANYthing that alters vaginal flora and ablation qualifies may indeed cause yeast. I know because I also have a history of vaginal, vulvar and cervical dysplasia when I was 18. The same laser that is Fem Touch is the same laser to treat those conditions. Often after my surgeries where CO2 laser (same as Fem Touch) was used to treat the dysplasia I would get a yeast infection. To clarify the dysplasia started about 10 years before my chronic yeast infections. Anyway, I will update here as the days go by but I will NOT get a second round of Fem Touch. I'd rather have lousy sex and pee ten times a night than have yeast infections.
Provider Review
Kevin Vicnair
No problem with the provider but an inquiry about previous yeast infections needs to be addressed.
