Time to Fix my Body! Updated TT review! - Fall River, MA

I have been obese my entire life, reaching 278lbs at 21 years old. At this time I lost both of my parents (in their 40's) due to weight problems, at this time I decided to make serious lifestyle changes resulting in a 140lb weight loss. I met Dr.Babbitt in March where he preformed a BA on me. They came out even better than anticipated. (I will review that experience on another post for those that are interested) Months later I decided its time to start the process of getting rid of the excess skin as well. Having had such a great experience with this office previously, I scheduled a tummy tuck with him for 1/15. Dr. Babbitt recommended that I skip the MR since I haven't had children and frequently work out my abs. This was a relief to me as far as the reduction in recovery time. We also decided against liposuction at this time. Dr. Babbitt was extremely realistic with me and never tried to up sell me on anything. Plastic surgery is nerve-wracking and expensive no matter what walk of like you are from, that is why having such a comforting, realistic PS has been a total lifesaver for me. This is the beginning of a process, I have a lot of excess skin and I imagine I will need multiple surgeries to complete the package. I was planning on trying to get a thigh lift at the same time, but it doesn't look like finances will allow. I am extremely excited to start the process of getting rid of this skin, which is a constant reminder of the fat that has haunted me for years and darker days of my life. I will be sure to update along this process! I'm 6 days away from surgery today!

I'm three days away from surgery! Just did my pre-admissions and I'm ready to go! So nervous! I can't wait to be able to go the the gym without 3 layers of spanx to keep my skin from flopping around and causing irritations, or to wear my first bathing suit in 20 years. I'll keep updated with pictures.

So I am four days post op my extended tummy tuck without muscle repair or lipo, and I couldn't be happier. Recovery was especially tough the first few days, but I'm starting to feel better as time passes. Dr. Babbitt was absolutely amazing as expected. My first visit after surgery and I had a dark patch appearing near my incision that I hadn't even noticed. Dr. Babbitt gave me a phone number, without hesitation, and told me to send photos to him if I saw anything at all out of the ordinary or questionable since I do not live close to the office. Luckily that space went away after the next day so it was probably from how I was wearing the binder, but it was such a relief and so comforting to know that I could actually get answers if I needed them. I'm a worrier and just knowing that he was available totally took care of all post op anxiety. Then a few days post op, Dr. Babbitt personally called me to check up on me and my progress. Call me old school, but that simple phone call went so far for me! It is comforting and refreshing to have a surgeon that genuinely cares about your well-being, rather than treating clients like another number. I have so much respect for Dr. Babbitt and his entire staff. Also, my results have been incredible. I was so worried because I did not get lipo, Dr. Babbitt told me he did not feel it was necessary for good results so why charge me for It. This sounded great because I didn't have the funds for it anyways, but I was worried that I still actually needed it for good results. But he was right, my results are AMAZING even at 5 days post op. I couldn't be happier. This has been a great experience!
