WORTH IT$2,400
after 6 stressful weeks I'm finally getting my new implants out. On July 9th I had full body liposculpture with fat transfer to rear and a breast lift with a 175cc implant in each breast in Bogota Colombia. Since coming back to the states my right breast has had nothing but problems. Literally overnight on Friday of last week my problem became huge. My implant is exposed and extruding from my incision. Freaking scary. Thankfully I have a few friends that have done their breasts with this dr and they speak highly of them. Long story short I met with Dr Rex today and he is willing to help me. I've never felt so alone these past weeks as nobody has wanted to touch me. I'm not going to sit here and bash my surgeon back in Colombia as Dr Rex told me it is not a botch and pretty much my luck. It didn't help that I didn't have a follow up surgeon here so I had no idea my breast was infected as it showed no signs except leakage which even that had no smell. I wS told even. MY left breast has already formed capsular contracture. I alwYs had a bad feeling about putting these in I guess I should've went with my gut. I have surgery tomorrow morning I can't wait to have my life back. The fact I've went through all of this hell over a 175cc implant probably irks me the most. Tomorrow can't come fast enough!

I am sending good healing vibes your way. How awful for this to happen to you! I am glad you posted a picture because other women need to know this can happen. I see so many women here getting implants and they looked so perfect to begin with. We women really need to consider what we are doing to ourselves when we try to make these improvements. I hope you are all healed very soon.

Ladies pls! Having surgeries in 3rd world countries to save a few bucks is insane! On the end u're paying much more for reconstruction and on health bills then if u would have done it in the Western Hemisphere, of course bad doctors are everywhere but at least u can research the good ones. In 3rd world countries the corruption is so high that bad doctors simply paying to erase them from their records so u never know for sure.
I'm truly sorry that it happened to you too, like to many others in the same shoes. U can't blame alone the implants if they are from quality manufacturers (Allergan, Mentor -USA, -Sebbin or Polytech -EU) and have the OP by certified practitioners with undoubtably good name and long history of successful carrier with the justice system on your side than u don't have to be afraid. Of course all of that goes out the window once you leave your country. Get better soon and best wishes to a healthy recovery!

Thank you but I was advised this was not because of my surgeon in Colombia. I could have gone back and he would've taken them out I just couldn't wait til Friday and really wasn't up to that flight I don't blame my original PS whatsoever. Things happen. Implants aren't meant for me. On the other hand my COLOMBIAN surgeon did an amazing job on my body.

And my implants were Siltex Round High Profile gel. I went to a great PS. Thanks for your opinion but going out of country for a PS is just as gd as here. Just the fact I don't have primary care Dr nor someone to follow up with me personally was my problem.

I agree. Allure401. You look great. Unfortunately, it happened. Speedy recovery

Good luck! Just to let you know that after my first implant surgery, one of my incisions opened up and the implant was on its way out when I went back to my plastic surgeon, who replaced it more or less on an emergency basis. Although I ended up being very unhappy with my plastic surgeon for a variety of reasons (much of them having to do with disclosure issues, but also for other reasons) he had been recommended by my (cancer) breast surgeon and had been the plastic surgeon for the wife of my radiation oncologist, and generally gets fantastic reviews. So I believe all the doctors who say, yeah, it's a bummer but it's not anyone's fault.

So glad you are on the road to recovery!

Yes me too. Huge weight lifted I can't wait for this pain to go away though good thing I got Percocet today sheesh!

August 26, 2015
Wishing you all the best with recovery. That was a really scary thing the implant protruding. I had implants put in overseas but would honestly never recommend it as after care is so important

I had my whole body done and it came out great. But your right I didn't take the time to think of the whole breast lift and implant aftercare. And thank you the pain s nowhere near when I had the whole lift done!!

I think some of the overseas surgeons are talented, but often infection doesn't show until after you get home and then you've got to find someone to help you in an emergency. Luckily everything has turned out well so keep us posted :)
