Made it, but still in pain

Had my surgery on Monday. Over the muscle implant replacemet then new silicone unders. They sid I was in the recovery room for 2 hours. I think i was tired from the valium AND muscle relaxer they gave me before surgery. Anyway, I am in pain still but taking pain meds and muscle relaxers helps a lot, so I just sleep A LOT. I will give more details when I am in a better position to do so.

Sweaty palms, nerves are setting in!
Today I got all of my prescriptions, I got norco, a muscle relaxer, tramedol (sp?), antibiotics and a nausea patch. Tomorrow I have to pick up my nitro glycerin ointment. This scares me a little but the doc says it will help with the blood flow to the nipple for healing to prevent necrosis. Yikes. I also need to shop for other supplies, pj's, slippers, wedge pillow, etc. My husband wants me to stay off the internet because I keep reading horror stories and he wants me to just look at "good boobs" so I stay positive. I tend to worry about everything. I don't remember doing this 15 years ago but I think it's because the advent of the internet and information everywhere. I do trust my PS, and he is confident in his abilities but he did tell me both the good and the bad of what could happen. I am trying to keep looking forward to having nice perky boobies (Hubby said tonight, "do you realize how many women would love to be in your situation right now?" and he is right) I can't wait to get this over with and be on the other side!!

Why the nitroglycerin ointment?

The surgeon suggested using the ointment (it's made at a compounding Pharmacy) to aid in bringing the blood circulation to the nipple area to try to prevent any necrosis. I also have a pretty big implant as fat as lifts go. So far, so good. I have to use it once more tonight and he said I could stop. (I will need to post a complete review of my experience)

How big is ur implant? I want 550? Not sure how big he will go to make upper fullness?

I am going to be in your position exactly 2 weeks. i am very excited!! mmm i will have to ask my doc for nitroglycerin ointment as well. Thanks for sharing and i hope you have happy healing. if your having revision arn't you going to have drains?

No I did not have to have drains. Not sure why. Maybe because I went from overs to unders?

Hey thanks for asking! It's 4 days po and I am ok, but still in pain on my left side. Can't wait to do things on my own again!

Thanks for sharing your photos. May I suggest adding the date of your surgery to this calendar to get support from other members getting procedures around the same time?
