Gynecomastia Surgery (Dr. Bitar) - Fairfax, VA

Dr. Bitar in Fairfax, VA performed my gynecomastia surgery. He and his staff has done an outstanding job. I'm very happy with my results only 3 months post op. I think the results are already perfect yet Dr. Bitar told me it's still early and it will get much better. He saw some swelling still which I can't really notice cause it looks so much better than before. There is still a little bit of scar tissue under the incision, but it's only noticeable by touch now. Dr. Bitar, his facilities, and his staff are all top notch in my opinion. I found Dr. Bitar via Google Search. I looked at his past patient's photographs on his website and did not see any lipo scars on his patients. During the consultation I asked Dr. Bitar if he was going to put lipo holes all over my chest. He said "why would I do that?" I said I don't know, but all the other surgeons I consulted with told me they needed to lipo from several different areas of the chest. Dr. Bitar said that's silly and said he did all of the lipo from the incision where the gland is removed. The other surgeons tried to talk me out of removing the gland and just doing lipo instead. Dr. Bitar actually told me I needed to remove the gland and have lipo both. I didn't have to try to talk him into removing the gland. I also overheard him tell one of his new staff members that if the gland isn't removed the patient won't be happy with the results. A lot of people on forums say lipo alone did not fix their gyno which was something that worried me. Maybe Dr. Bitar reads the forums and heeds what he reads!Dr. Bitar removed the gland and did lipo all from the same incision at th bottom of the nipple like he said. At three months there is absolutely no way anyone could tell I had this surgery; not even if they were looking for it up close. I had this procedure while awake, although I can barely remember any of it. Must have been the valium. I forget how much gland and fat he removed, but it was pretty substantial. Even though I was awake during the surgery, I needed someone to take me home. I think it only took a couple hours to do the surgery if I remember correctly. I hope I covered what most people would want to know. I highly recommend Dr. Bitar. He knows what needs to be done and just seems like he has a clue. He does not come off like another frat boy surgeon looking for the easy way through the procedure. He has a lot of hot ladies working for him and you'll get invited to his office parties!!
