Would Do It Again (If I Have To)

My journey with Dr. Cakmak and his team started after he was recommended by my friend, who had just had her facial rejuvenation. I live in the US, our first meeting was over zoom. He listened to my concerns and discussed the pros and cons of what I was looking for. It was a bit weird having someone look so carefully at my face, but it's his job.
I arrived in Istanbul for my surgery 2 days prior to the surgery date. We met in his beautiful office, where he spent even more time discussing the proposed procedure, including the risks. I met his office staff and went away with a full packet of consent forms to read and sign. I visited the hospital, had lab work and an EKG, and spoke with the anesthesiologist. The hospital is very modern and beautiful. I felt very comfortable that if there were any complications during surgery, I would be well taken care of. Unfortunately, I was not able to have my surgery at that time due to abnormal lab results. He offered to arrange for me to see another doctor for further evaluation and plan the surgery a few days later if everything could be corrected, but we ultimately decided it was best for me to go home. We rescheduled for a few months later.
This time, everything was good and we were able to proceed. Surgery went well, I stayed in the hospital overnight as planned. The nurses were amazing and took great care of me. Yes, there was pain, that was well taken care of with the pain medication.
The most surprising thing was pain with swallowing solids. It lasted 2-3 days, soups and liquids went down easily. Oh yeah, my ears really hurt too, couldn't lay on them. Sleeping more upright wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be
I saw Dr Cakmak at the office twice over the next 7 days. Sutures were removed, swelling and bruising improved day by day.
It's been 4 months. Most of my face has normal sensation. There is no pain, it's just not completely normal sensation.
I am very happy with the result and would do it again.
I highly recommend Dr Cakmak and the hospital where he does his surgery. If you are from the US, services are as good if not better than hospitals in the US.
