Amazing FFS Experience and Results

After a year and a half on HRT I decided to explore FFS options to help feminize my face more. After carefully reviewing Drs in my region I scheduled a consultation with Dr Spiegel. I went in under the guise that I only wanted a trachea shave, though I was interested in more. After we discussed the trachea shave I asked him what else might help me, and he respectfully pointed out things I was considering. He was gentle in how he described the benefits of each procedure and cautious to not oversell possibility. For instance, I am extremely skinny and he told me straight up that it would be dangerous to try to completely flatten my adams apple but rather he could reduce it X amount. I respected that tremendously and felt comfortable with his caution. After discussing pricing and whatnot I decided on the trachea shave, rhinoplasty, brow/forehead contouring with eyebrow lift and hairline advancement. I was then set up with my patient coordinator, Eleanor, who is an absolute angel.
Fast forward to the day of the procedure, I met the surgical team at Dr. Spiegel's own surgical center, which was a dream compared to getting surgery at a hospital. I want to say at this moment that every member of his staff, from the people who answer to phones to the surgeon techs, were warm, competent, and never misgendered me. I was so nervous the morning of the surgery but as I met the team and saw their rapport I was immediately put at ease.
Recovery is what you can expect. Not fun, but manageable, haha. Eleanor kept in touch with me almost daily and helped me through it.
I'm about 2 months post op and still have swelling but I can see that I got exactly what I wanted, which was a natural, polished look. I feel confident without wearing makeup and every day that passes I'm pleasantly surprised by how much brighter my face looks! I never expected to get this much work done when I began transitioning, but now I find myself considering even more with Dr. Spiegel after I fully recover. I realize now that choosing Dr. Spiegel wasn't a one-time thing but rather beginning a relationship with a professional who can help me maintain my dream appearance as I age.
As I mentioned above, my patient coordinator, Eleanor, was and is a very important player in all of this. Not only was she prompt and attentive to my needs and questions but her kindness truly helped ease me and my mother, who helped me throughout this unfamiliar process. Her aftercare has been especially touching and comforting. She continues to warmly check in and help me as I navigate my recovery. I feel very lucky to have been paired up with her.
In short, I cannot recommend Dr. Spiegel enough!
