Every Time I Walk by a Mirror I Stop and Say, “Wow.”
WORTH IT
I almost don’t know where to start in describing my happiness with Dr. Spiegel and his amazing staff. My entire FFS experience was terrific. Every office visit starts with a friendly feeling of belonging. They were always on time I was never left waiting. Dr Spiegel met with me a number of times before my surgery. He never seemed rushed, and any concerns I had were put to rest with knowledgeable and reassuring explanations. I had much anxiety about a forehead scar, and almost didn’t have a scalp advancement until the process & expected results were understood, and I was confident with their professional advice.
Carole, my care coordinator, was a delight to work with from start to finish and even after. It’s been 3 months since my surgery, and she still checks in on me from time to time. I have to admit I was more than a little nervous in the days and weeks before. It takes a tremendous amount of trust to undergo FFS, and for all of my fears or concerns Carole was there every time with her unflappable optimism. When I walked into Newton Surgery on the morning of my procedures I was never more calm and confident, and Carole was a big part of making that happen.
I was new to the idea of having such serious procedures performed in an outpatient setting. I was surprised how much better it seemed than a hospital OR. The gravity and tension of a hospital setting was non existent. The camaraderie and confidence seen in the OR staff that clearly work together regularly was very comforting. It was also easy to see that FFS procedures were a regular thing here and their interaction with me was exemplary.
My results are fantastic. I had 7 major procedures plus C02 laser. There are no noticeable scars, and it doesn’t look like I had anything done except for being more feminine. I still look like myself.
The CO2 laser was a bit much to deal with in my early recovery, but I’m glad I agreed to do it. I look and feel a bit younger. I don’t feel the need to use foundation that much anymore.
I would recommend Dr. Spiegel and the Spiegel Center for anyone thinking of FFS. The way that everyone there cares along with the quality and professionalism are unique.
