My FFS with Dr. Mayer was a dream come true

Being a Starbucks employee I had my choice of surgeons for FFS and after doing research I am so so glad I decided on Dr. Toby Mayer. His staff was incredible and worked alongside my Starbucks Health Advocate to have all the behind the scenes paper work handled after I booked with him following my consultation. 
During our consultation via webcam as I live out of state, he took all the time I needed to answer any of my questions and let me know what he would recommend for me to have done. I could tell just from my chat with him that he is genuinely passionate about his work and not after money one bit and truly enjoys making people look their best. After everything was taken care of and I arrived for my in person exam the day before surgery I loved how at ease he made me feel by cracking a joke here and there but when it comes down to business he becomes very focused and it is actually pretty impressive to witness firsthand. Him and his assistant Francis, who is equally as enjoyable and knowledgeable “love her” went over everything with me and let me know what to expect for the following day. 
The next day my surgery lasted 11 1/2 hours as I had a lot of procedures performed all at once by my own choice as I didn’t want to make two trips from being so far out of town. Him and his team had absolutely no issues during my surgery and everything went very well. The night following my surgery I stayed at Serenity After Care and although I was in a miserable state due to everything I had done they helped with everything I needed to start my recovery process and returned me to his office the following day for my follow up exam. Post exam went great with Francis making me laugh constantly she is so funny you will love her and they released me to my friend who took me back to our hotel where I was able to recover. Within a couple days I was up and around and out of bed and tremendously gaining more and more normalcy very quickly.
I am currently just a week over post op and am healing so well everyone is amazed not only by how incredibly fast I am healing but the amazing results he created. Those in their words can’t describe the improvements he made for me! I finally feel congruent with my soul and I can move forward with my life. I will be forever grateful I chose him and his staff as my FFS surgeon and very glad I shied away from my other choices as I could have pretty much chose anyone. This sounds bad but is valid, my one concern was his age but after meeting with him and not only feeling completely comfortable with letting him go forward with the surgery “trust me I am the type that if something doesn’t feel right I don’t care about formalities I would have got right up and left if I felt uneasy at all” he did an 11 1/2 hour surgery no sweat and this man has many years ahead of him in the operating room.
He is an extremely smart and skilled man and will know when it's time to hang his hat and that will be a very sad day indeed but with that being said if he is operating you know you are in some of the best and most skilled hands in the world period. I understand the whole type 1 and type 3 brow bone contour debate but my brow bone looks incredible and I feel so bad seeing the girls that get type 3’s and their entire faces swell completely shut with their eyes to, ouch. My brow bone was sore but that was honestly about it for that.
I could go on and on about how good I look now and how much I love my nose and everything but honestly, I just feel good looking in the mirror and seeing a reflection I can actually connect with. 
Much love to any trans girl like myself who goes through this with any surgeon as it is no walk in the park but I feel Dr. Mayer made the whole experience as best as could be. Much Love and Best Wishes, Brianna Longaberger
